CHĒZ Coffee&Co — Restaurant in Paris

I was staying in the neighborhood on vacation and was floored when I tried the coffee. I kid you not, best cup of coffee I've ever had. Rich caramel, chocolate, nutty flavors without a hint of acidity. Made me feel like I'd never made a cup of coffee correctly before that. On top of that, the pastries were delicious -- especially recommend the lemon cake and banana bread. As if that wasn't enough, the owner and individuals working there were deeply kind and generous! They shared info about the beans, their process for making the coffee, and were patient with my (very) broken French. We just finished up a 3+ week trip, visiting my family in Italy and came to Paris before flying back to the US. We had some pretty amazing coffee in and around Italy and my parents have a proper espresso machine at their house, so we made our lattes everyday, the we wanted them… we get to Paris and literally stumbled into Chez Coffee. Our 9yr old daughter pointed it out and said “look dad, coffee!” We went in for an afternoon cafe and it was THE BEST WE’VE HAD in Paris and one of the best during our entire trip. This is such a wonderful coffee shop! The coffee is SO good and the specialty drinks are absolutely delicious. I tried the autumn matcha one and it was the best matcha I’ve had. Their iced latte and cappuccino are also great. The guys that work there are so friendly and helpful! Their banana bread is the best I’ve had. My young son especially loved it so much. We stopped here every morning to get coffee and a slice of banana bread while we were visiting. We loved it so much that they made a whole loaf for us to purchase. We really appreciated this!
