This was a place we found on our walk from The Sacred Heart to the Eiffel Tower. Initially I was a bit sceptical to meet here since it was empty, but it was in that gray where it was a bit late for lunch and a little too early for dinner. At any rate, I was excited because this place was French with Basque influence. Overall the food was not good, it wasn't horrible but it was really only just edible. The service was attentive and prompt and the restaurant was clean and had character. I ordered the Basque house speciality, veal medallions, mushroom sauce and pomme de terre (potatoes). What came out was a small mess of ingredients. The veal was gray and tough, the cheese and mushroom sauce souped together and the potatoes on the bottom were unseasoned. The dish was a loss, not inedible but definitely not what it should have been. My partner ordered a vegetable burger, it was deep fried, and definitely not the worst but we weren't advised that it would be deep fried. The waiter was very specific about the ingredients and made sure my partner was okay with onions in the vegetable patty. However, the potato crisps as her side were not well seasoned and were inconsistent. I would say that this place would be better suited for less complex dishes and drinks. Overall the environment was fun and the experience was pleasant but the...
Read moreI was recommended this place by fellow reviewers! Having looked for a pocket friendly place to try a cheese plate and good French food, I came across Chez Gladines in a couple of reviews. The place delivers everything as promised! We were lucky spacewise as we went during noon and the place was pretty vacant. The cheese platter was really good, the basque dishes are great and the portions are huge, we ordered a chicken bask and a foie gras omlette with side salad! It was great. The staff is friendly, the wine is great and they have multiple restaurants at different locations around Paris so this is a place you must try out. Depending on if you want to add clubbing to your trip here, you can choose to go in the evening, in which case be prepared for a wait, but totally worth it. Last bits, the deserts are really good so keep some space for that! We were too full, but still went ahead and shared a caramel dessert. This is a lively place with good service and an...

We savored delicious dishes like snails, duck confit, and basquaise squid, all generously portioned and incredibly satisfying. The cuisine is varied and special, with almost everything made from scratch in-house.
Menus are available in both English and French, and the staff are fluent in English, making the dining experience seamless. The casual and comfortable atmosphere, along with outdoor seating options, add to the charm.
