I am writing to express my absolute shock and disgust with the service and management at what is supposed to be a prestigious restaurant within a five-star hotel. This review concerns a truly appalling experience that my sister endured, one that has left her deeply distressed and, frankly, robbed.

The evening began at the restaurant, which promised an exceptional dining experience. When my sister and her friends arrived at the restaurant, they entrusted their outerwear to the cloakroom staff. The staff accepted all three coats and hung them on a single hanger—an arrangement that should have been simple and straightforward, but one that would soon prove disastrous.

When it came time to retrieve their coats at the end of the meal, my sister was handed a coat that was not hers. After questioning the staff, it became clear that her coat had vanished. What is particularly perplexing is that all three coats were placed on the same hanger, making it difficult to understand how such a mistake could even happen in the first place.

The response from the staff was not only unprofessional but entirely unacceptable. Rather than offering any empathy or taking immediate action to resolve the issue, they were dismissive and unconcerned. They claimed they thought they knew who had taken the coat, but this was pure speculation. After numerous promises to investigate and follow up, my sister was left with nothing. She was sent away empty-handed and forced to leave the restaurant without her coat in the cold. Not once did the staff offer any help—no taxi, no alternative, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience they had caused.

What followed was even worse. Despite repeated assurances that they would contact her once they had more information, my sister had to waste valuable time during her holiday contacting the restaurant, making several visits in person, as no one from the restaurant bothered to follow up. After what felt like an eternity, she was finally told that the person who had taken the coat had already left the country. They claimed to have contacted this individual and promised that the coat would be returned as soon as they received it. This “solution” is not only completely inadequate but utterly unreasonable.

Why should my sister have to spend her entire stay without her outerwear? Should she have to buy a new coat just to avoid freezing? Why should she be punished for the restaurant’s mistake? And how can they guarantee that the coat she eventually receives will be the same one, in the same condition, or even returned at all? There has been no communication, no accountability, and no proper solution to this issue.

This situation could have been handled in many different, more professional ways, but the restaurant staff and management have demonstrated a shocking lack of competence and customer care. How can an establishment of this caliber, which markets itself as a high-end dining experience, fail so spectacularly in such a simple matter of customer service?

It has now been over a month since the incident, and my sister still has not received her coat. The communication has been appalling, and she has been left entirely in the dark. The restaurant has made no proactive effort to keep her informed or to follow up on the situation. Instead, she has had to spend her time calling public numbers, waiting in long queues, and being transferred between multiple people. This is not how a reputable restaurant, let alone a five-star one, should treat its customers.

This is not just a complaint—it is a demand for accountability. The restaurant’s failure to act responsibly and professionally in this situation speaks volumes about its disregard for guests and its commitment to poor service. Until this issue is resolved in an acceptable manner, I will continue to warn others about the glaring incompetence and lack of care that defines this...

A quant boutique hotel tucked directly in the center of Paris with a very cool atmosphere. As soon as you walk in you can tell this place has some vibes and the decor and ambiance is something to see.

Let me start by saying I think the perception of Parisian attitude is unwarranted. Most places and experiences we’ve had have been pleasant and courteous. People generally are very pleasant and appreciate tourism as it is the driving force of the local economy.

With that said, this place has some pretty eletist, pretentious attitude that is so unpleasant that it diminishes the experience. Walked in the night before, wanted to have a drink at the bar. Was turned away, no smile no come back and we may have space, just a pure “no”. Now this is something we expected but this level of hospitality is unwarranted. Had a drink the first night, which I’ll admit was pretty good, espresso martini and decided to call the next day and make reservations for the restaurant.

Now we made the reservation and the todo is night we tried to warm up to the hostess and portray that we are here to have a good time and that we were looking to spend $$$$. The next night we roll in, not single American was made by the hostess. In fact, literally as we were standing in front of her she kept answering the phone, which again i understand being in hospitality but she has other people working there. Maybe let your employees answer the phone and you take care of the guests in front of you.

We were asked to step to the side where they will take us to the table. Now let me tell you there are two area for dining. One in the back and another in the terrrace. It seems like the back is where all the energy is. The terrace is quant and I’m sure has its moments during the day but she was super dismissive when we asked to sit in the other room. On top of that we sat at literally the smallest table I’ve ever sat in my life. I kid you not my feet were dangling in the walkway and every time a waitress passed by I thought they were going to trip over my foot. I asked to be seated at a bigger table or different area as being in the walkway was a nuisance to me as well and to no avail, was dismissed again.

Let me get to the food because that’s actually very well prepared and fine dining that you come to expect. Steak was cooked perfectly and mashed potatoes were decadent. The waitress was also very pleasant and courteous although I’m not sure if she checked in on us a single time after food was served to see how things are going. Again my experiences here in Paris have been pleasant. Most cafes and brasseries will welcome you with open arms and cater to you as a tourist. Not this place.

Going here with the right expectations and mentality is beneficial to your experience. Insist on the back area, otherwise just walk out and worst case just grab a drink and take in the vibes here. In my opinion much better places to dine and food was good not mind blowing. The service and hostess attitude really is something unpleasant and should not be present in a fine dining establishment of this caliber. A smile will...

ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE – DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!

I’ve stayed in incredible places around the world, but this hotel truly takes the cake as the worst experience of my life. They call themselves 5 stars? More like 0 stars. Here’s why: 1- Health Hazard: I’m pregnant and planned to stay six nights. Within hours, I had a severe allergic reaction—turns out the bedsheets were dirty. You’d think a hotel charging €1,000 per night could afford clean laundry. Apparently not.

2- Ridiculous Management: While I stood outside feeling miserable from the allergic reaction, instead of offering help or sympathy, they had the nerve to sell me another room for an extra €600 per night. Oh, sure, because €1,000 per night wasn’t already enough, right? Maybe the €600 room came with fresh bedsheets this time? Or perhaps the staff personally fluff your pillow while insulting you in the process? We’ll never know, because no sane person would fall for that scam.

3- The Arrogant “Superstar” Staff: The young woman at the front desk must think she’s auditioning for a reality TV show because she acted like an arrogant diva instead of someone working in hospitality. Her attitude was as luxurious as a cheap motel off the highway. If she’s the face of their 5-star service, this hotel is in serious trouble.

4- Basic Failures: It took FIVE HOURS to get our luggage to the room. Maybe they were busy brainstorming new ways to scam guests out of €600? And don’t even get me started on their nightclub-like entrance. It screams, “We’re trying way too hard to be trendy,” but ends up just feeling cheap and tacky.

5- Lost and Found Comedy Show: We forgot a hat in the room. They found it but didn’t bother to let us know. I had to go back TWICE to beg for it. Eventually, someone at the desk made a dramatic phone call, and voilà—the hat magically appeared. Maybe they thought we’d pay €600 to get it back too?

This hotel is a joke. Save yourself the headache (and the allergic reaction) and stay somewhere that actually understands what hospitality means. Unless, of course, you want to pay €1,000 a night for dirty sheets and €600 for a lesson in...

And there is Costes restaurant.. A celebrity magnet situated in the heart of the city of chic. Equal parts iconic and slightly freaky, Costes has morphed into an international meetup and hookup hotspot—a “stepping out” destination for those ready to don their heels (and Botox) for a night drenched in opulence. But let’s skip the clichés about how overrated, overpriced, and underwhelming the food and wine list are. Instead, let’s get straight to their so-called “famous” cheesecake. For the love of all things sweet, I cannot fathom the hype. Maybe if you’ve never had a cheesecake in your life, you might find it passable. But trust me, do yourself a favor and avoid this culinary catastrophe. After a very forgettable dinner, which itself was a painful exercise in mediocrity, we waited about 20 minutes for a server to reappear and ask if we wanted coffee or dessert. We decided to take their cheesecake to go. Big mistake. Another 20 minutes later, our “dessert” arrived at the table in a laughably oversized brown container. At this point, even McDonald’s could claim a more refined approach to takeout packaging. For €18, you’d think they’d at least present this so-called famous dessert with some dignity. But alas, no such luck. Fast forward to getting home, filled with anticipation to finally try this microscopic dessert. One bite, and we were done. Spitting it out, we couldn’t decide what was worse—the odd, almost sour taste of what I can only assume was expired Philadelphia cream cheese or the raw cookie dough crust that crumbled with granulated sugar crunching between our teeth. Absolutely inedible. Sure, I get it. Instagrammers have turned Costes into the place to be in Paris. If you’re all about the “see and be seen” scene or scheming your way through the city’s over-the-top party circuit, then sure, why not pay them a visit. But if you’re looking for a proper meal—or a cheesecake that doesn’t double as a culinary crime—do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else. Cheers to better choices!
