2nd largest Louis Vuitton store in Paris, & NO LINE outside! You can come in, sit & wait for help, & they'll serve you drinks while you wait. The personal service is great. The items are plenty. No pressure for you to purchase, but they do make commision on their sales. Items are less expensive here than in the US for the exact same item! & you get a percentage of the tax back . The sales people will be happy to tell you the conversion rate to $s & look up the american website price for comparison. Of course you must declare your purchases that total over $800 at customs & border control in the US. I did that at SFO, but thank goodness they did not charge me an import tax that would have eaten into my savings of buying my personal use French made luxury items in France over buying them in the USA. I just did the calculations. I saved $1,862.00! Yes, that's right! Buy your luxury LV items in france! Do not buy them in the USA, unless of course money means nothing to you. I love the $$ savings! That is literally $1,862.00 in my wallet compared with if I bought the same items in America. I fly Polaris class on United Airlines & stay in posh hotels, but if you fly economy class & stay in inexpensive hotels, the savings alone could pay for your trip to Paris! Appreciate that! You would literally have a FREE Paris trip with those $$ savings. Oops, I forgot! In America add your state sales tax to the total! So when that is added , I saved around $2,200.00 buying my LV items in france! I will never buy LV in America now that I experienced the amazing savings buying my LV items in France! The same goes for purchasing Burberry in London compared with Burberry purchases in America, by the way. In the store the nice sales gal suggested I have my purchases boxed, but I told her I did not plan to pack boxes into my luggage. She informed me that the boxes fold up! I did manage to pack my boxes & bags in my luggage all folded up! My friends told me I can use the boxes & bags for staging my condo when I sell it & that stagers will actually buy fancy brand boxes & bags for staging homes for sale. Interesting, since I have Tiffany boxes & bags, Burberry, & also Coach boxes & bags, & other fancy brand bags. I read online that a small Tiffany & Co. Box sells for $25 on E-Bay. I won't sell any of mine. I gave 2 Tiffany & Co. boxes & bags away at Christmas as comical empty box gifts & may give away my LV boxes & bags to friends that like displaying such things. They're probably going to be $50 empty box & bag...
Read moreI had a very bad experience at this Louis Vuitton location (Maison Vendôme) on July 1, 2022, which truthfully has led to my decision to never spend money on the Louis Vuitton brand ever again.
I came to this branch during my Paris vacation to specifically purchase a Petite Malle bag - I knew exactly what I wanted, and was ready to buy and get out of there. Everything went wrong, especially with the service from the female Asian Sales Rep at this location.
What went wrong:
30minute wait on a weekday We waited in the sun for 20 minutes to be let in, only to wait around another 10 minutes inside the store (and be fully ignored by every single SR and staff). No one offered water, and all the seats were taken inside by other people waiting. I've never experienced this type of service at any other similar brand.
The SR was horribly rude and dismissive We were finally introduced to an Asian woman SR (I don't know her name). She seemed disinterested in helping us out the entire time. I was ready to purchase the bag, but saw that there's a physical flaw to it (it's a 4,200 euro bag). I asked her if there's another one in the store she can offer me - she told me this store doesn't have it, and that we would have to go line up (AGAIN) at the other LV store that has it and try our luck there.
She didn't offer to help us place a hold the bag, even though we were ready to purchase.
She didn't offer to help us call the SRs at the other store, to help us make a same-day appointment to help secure the bag (and not waste more of our precious time).
She didn't suggest that we can try the "click and collect" program, which we later realized could have been an option.
What she did do - she told us "try to make an appointment online for tomorrow" (we can't - that was our last day in Paris), or "line up again". She said all of these things while walking away from us, no smiles, no walking us to the door, no nothing.
I get that she wouldn't receive a commission because we wouldn't be purchasing a physically flawed 4,200Eu bag from her, but as a professional she should have at least been courteous to clients walking through these doors.
As a result of my experience at the Maison, I've sworn off this brand. Do yourself a favor and spend your hard-earned money on buying things and experiences that actually...
Read moreMy sister and I visited this LV store with an appointment made in advance. We arrived at the scheduled appointment time and was immediately stopped at the door and asked questions. We explained we have an appointment and the gentleman began inputting my sister’s name in his tablet and told us we can browse around downstairs but do not go upstairs; odd but okay. We walked around browsing and waiting. We watched other customers come in receive champagne and get greeted instantly. We continued to patiently wait and browse while security followed us around and starred at us like criminals. After roughly 20 minutes and security watching from a far, a young lady walked up, with security, and said “we will be right with you” after she confirmed my sister’s name (Mary). She also pointed out our sales associate who was finishing up with another client. Once Natalia (I believe was her name, sorry if I got it wrong) started helping us she got us glasses of champagne and helped my sister pick the perfect purse. My sister had her heart set on this purse and Natalia was so sweet so my sister bought it. We were minutes away from going to a different location. I understand the associates and staff don’t care much about a individual sale because clearly this is a popular location with tons of wealthy people in and out spending tons of money. But someone’s appearance or status should never warrant a customer being treated the way we were upon entry into this store. There is a huge lack in customer service and the appointment system. There was also another man and woman purchasing a purse who told us their experience was exactly the same as ours. Every customer should matter. Regardless of race, financial status or appearance. If you choose to offer a appointment system be ready to accommodate the client who has the appointment at the time of her appointment or at least acknowledge that client, get them a drink, and allow them to freely browse while they wait. And LV being the brand it is your stores should do much much better. With improvement this could be a wonderful location but after our experience today I would take the advice of others and myself and go to another location. The 3 stars are for the wonderful sales associate only, because otherwise we would rate it 0 stars...
