Dear friends, I was visiting Paris this weekend with my boyfriend. It was Saturday around midnight 09.10.21 and the bar was empty. We were totally assaulted and bullied by security on the door. He asked us for covid pass and it took me a bit longer to log in to show him... (we both got passes and we are fully vacinated) the bar was almost empty. He was yelling at us to speak French, i really do not care if you got pass or not you are not gonna come in. very aggressive and we got the feeling he's gonna hit us. also imateate how we talk and making fun of our accents. We didn't respond. We just wanted to support another lgbt bar and spend money there. We got in and we just left without a word from shock. we travel the world been to many gay bars but we never experienced anything like this. That was the only bad thing that happened to us in Paris. We are both very calm and nice people. I think bullies, nationalist and rude people...
Read moreIf you’re a tourist, stay away from this place. The older, short bartender (Anthony, I think was his name) was extremely rude. I’m pretty sure I was drugged there because I went from having a pleasant conversation to being unable to walk within a few minutes. I walked by next day, and he couldn’t even look at me in the eye. They only welcome older and French speaking locals. It’s a touristic area, and they expect people to speak French well for a 4 days weekend in Paris? I had worked with so many French tourists in the USA, and most of them didn’t speak English, but it wasn’t a reason to disrespect them or treat them poorly (we go out of our way to make sure they’re well taken care of). If you don’t want tourists in your establishment, make it clear; plenty of friendly options around. DO NOT TRUST HIM, you...
Read moreI love the crowd this place attracts! People are great, many of them speak English, it's not a usual crusing spot so visit for some drinks, chat and laughs with age range from late 20s to 50s. It is also one of few decent places to drink beer that is quite good, they brand it COX and it's sold in 50cl cans for a decent price. Although beware: there is no terminal and you can't pay there by card which is unpleasant surprise in 21st century EU. Also absolutely no places to seat (there are literally 2 bar chairs and that's it) so prepare your legs for standing or dancing (wouldn't recommend, dancefloor actually does not exist although DJ desk definitely does). All in all place worth visiting, but with...
