I Diavoletti Trattoria — Restaurant in Paris

Update July, 2025: The place still serves great, good quality food that you can relish. It is not that crowded these days. The service is great and so is the staff. I have been eating at this place for almost 15 years now, with gaps of days and sometimes years, and till day, I enjoy the food, service and the atmosphere.

I was a regular visitor there till recently. The place is almost always crowded and the pizza is really good. It is thin crusted and oh, Tiramisu is so good, that I can relish it any time! The staff is good and hospitable. At times, when it is really busy, the service suffers, but I won't complain as I get good food for a great price!

We wandered around the Palace du Luxembourg / Sorbonne neighborhood late on our last night in Paris, searching for a nice place for dinner. We consulted Google and were turned away from one highly rated place for lack of a reservation and ran away scared and insulted from another. We found I Diavoletti past 10 PM and were welcomed in by a young waiter who spoke English fluently and offered helpful suggestions and customized our order to exactly what we were hoping to have for dinner. Wonderful (and incon­spicuous) italian re­staurant in the midd­le of 5th arrondisse­ment. it is easy to miss it when walking do­wn the rue Claude Be­rnard, but you won't forget the delicious and authentic dish­es and warmth of the owners, chef and em­ployees, all italian. Travelling to Tusc­any, Sicily and many other regions for a lunch. Also, it is one of the few resta­urants to be opened during public holida­ys and as a result service was amazingly fast.
