Recommended by a French friend, I went there totally expecting to be disappointed - as has been my experience with most Indian restaurants in Paris - but I was pleasantly surprised!

The place doesn't look much from outside, and is a bit dark and dingy inside too. Clean though. And the smile on the servers lights up the place well.

We ordered Paneer Pakoda for starters and then Dal Palak and Matter Paneer for the main course along with Punjabi Parathas, followed by Kheer and Suji Halwa for dessert.

The Pakoras were fresh and tasty, though the plate it was served in was a bit too big for the table, I think.

We asked for food to be spiced between India and French spice levels...not too spicy but not bland either. And the food was on point, though I think it leaned a bit more towards Indian spicy than French... But left a nice taste in the mouth. The Punjabi Tawa Parantha is was great to accompany the dishes. (no pics..we were too hungry and tempted 😊)

Desserts were okay...nothing special. I was expecting the Kheer to be more thick and creamy, as is usual in the Indian subcontinent.

We were surprised by free digestif shots at the end of the meal....

I would definitely visit again, and recommend the place without hesitation. Good food,...

The most arrogant staff, The restaurant really tests one's patience in serving food, unless you're good with waiting for an hour wouldn't recommend this place, on top of it, the owner seems to be particularly racial towards an Indian, they made me wait for more than 30mns to serve the dessert after my main course meal when I said I couldn't wait any further he started saying he doesn't want customers like me, funnily he charged me the full price tho!!! He doesn't want indian customers but loved to charge them the whole amount, neither the customer expereince exists at this place nor the quality. Also this place might be serving the food from other tables too, when i said i couldnt finish my food so i'd prefer getting it packed, first the guy says he doesnt have packing material at this restaurant, later he says i cant get it packed and im supposed to finish at the restaurant, so when i dont finish the food and eventually if they're gonna throw it away i dont see the problem why cant they get it packed unless they're re serving the same food...

During my very recent visit to Paris, I stumbled upon Jaipur Restaurant—a cosy gem conveniently located next to our hotel. Drawn in by the inviting ambience, we decided to give it a try, and it quickly became our go-to spot for dinner every evening of our stay.

Jaipur offers an extensive menu of Indian and Pakistani dishes, all prepared with remarkable authenticity and care. From creamy dals to aromatic biryanis, succulent grills, and flavorful non-veg curries, every dish we tried was superb. The quality and taste were consistently excellent, reminding me of the true flavours of home.

I must extend a special mention to Mazhar, our wonderful host. His warmth and hospitality made every visit memorable, adding a personal touch that made us feel right at home. Thanks to Mazhar and the fantastic food, Jaipur turned into our dining haven in Paris.

Looking for delicious, authentic Indian and Pakistani cuisine in Paris? I highly recommend Jaipur Restaurant. You won’t be...
