Kanadé — Restaurant in Paris

The restaurant serves great quality sushi. But there was a French waiter there with an uncalled for attitude. My friend was going to be late, since she said she will meet me for drinks, I wasn’t sure if she will be eating with me. So I wanted to order before she arrived as she told me to go ahead. The waiter explained that it’s better if I wait for her. I told him she might not be eating. He was rude and said that if she won’t then he might as well give the seat to someone else. I felt so unwelcomed and uncomfortable. It was like he was kicking me out of the place and I told him that I made a reservation. At that point I told him trust me I eat for 2 people and that is when he calmed down. His attitude changed when he saw that I probably ate more than anyone else in the restaurant and my friend ended up eating with me. He also poorly explained the menu when I wasted a question and was condensing. So great quality food, low quality hospitality...

If you want to attend the dinner service, you should probably make a reservation. If you're from our of town, you'll also have to call yourself, as the restaurant won't let hotels make the reservation for you. Anyway, my husband and I absolutely loved everything we ordered, and the service was super friendly and helpful as well. We ordered the sashimi special assortment (15 pieces) that included sea brim (excellent!!), salmon, mackerel, red tuna, and sea bass (I think?), the futomaki (4 pieces), semi-cooked marinated mackerel with ponzu sauce and grated radish, semi-cooked salmon nigiri, fatty tuna nigiri, and eel nigiri. Everything was unreal delicious, but we ended up ordering a 2nd round of the eel nigiri and semi-cooked salmon nigiri because it was THAT incredible. If I ever go back to Paris, I'll for sure try to make this exact same...

I really don’t know where to start. we were looking for a nice Japanese restaurant in this area and we were completely blown away. It is a small restaurant and your lucky to get a seat, but the food quality the flavor and the service is just great! You can see the cooking in front of you and it’s also really nice and relaxing experience. The tuna starter was delicious and special, while the sushi was one of the best we have ever tried! I would definitely recommend to have both the desserts, the parfait and the strawberry cheesecake, I really cannot decide between the both of them 😅
