Honestly one of the most disappointing evenings we had in Paris.

From the moment we arrived, the service and treatment from staff was shockingly poor. We were initially seated at a table with not enough chairs for our group. As the waitress began taking orders, it quickly became clear that the restaurant had not accommodated the dietary needs we had specifically checked in advance.

We were assured prior to booking that there were vegetarian and vegan options available. However, this was far from the case. The bread we were served was initially confirmed as vegan, only for us to be told later that it wasn’t. Similarly, we were told the polenta could be made vegan, but after it was served, staff informed us it couldn’t be altered.

When a vegan dish was finally offered, it consisted of just four pieces of ravioli with vegetables—nowhere near a main course. Several items we ordered, including bread baskets and drinks, never arrived, and when drinks did, they were often incorrect.

The most appalling moment came when the waitress returned to clear our plates and said, “My gosh, you guys eat like pigs.” Completely unacceptable.

To make matters worse, when one of our vegan guests asked if she could order more of the bread—the only item confirmed as vegan—she was told she’d have to order the full starter. No flexibility, no care, and a totally patronising attitude throughout.

We left feeling disrespected and frustrated. This place failed on both hospitality and basic decency. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone—especially if you have dietary requirements or expect even a minimum level of...

THIS WAS HANDS DOWN THE BEST EXPERIENCE OF MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!!! I literally saw this place popping off on my way to my hotel just 1 hour after I got off my train. I walked in and it was going offfff!!! And the aroma was insane! They said they were pretty busy and told me that I could have a drink in the bar while I was waiting and they could come find me. First off… the bar and drinks were absolutely insane. The best vibe I have ever come across out of anywhere I have traveled in the world. Hands down the best atmosphere and the staff were out of this world kind and all around epic! We need more humans like them on this earth! From there, it only got better. We sat down for dinner and the food was the BEST I HAD EVER HAD! I was hands down blown away and the staff and the head chef came over and just wanted to hang and treat us with her talent of cooking amazing food and it was one of the raddest experiences. Like I said… Everyone that works here, including the Head Chef (Zohar) and the Mixologist (Francesco)… we need more people like them on planet earth! It’s people like them that make this world a better place! Insane food and drinks and most of all, the most epic vibes I have ever come across! Thank you for creating one of the best experiences of my entire life!!!! That goes for the entire staff!!!! THANK YOUUUUU!!!!!! I will NEVER...

Kapara is such a kick. Their staff training could be turned into a class for how it should be done. The joyful noises from the kitchen and the very well curated music create a one of a kind atmosphere. I never tried Balagan, its predecessor, and this meal made we wish I had just to see what it was. Innovative wine list with a heavy emphasis on less traveled roads including a very serviceable Romanian Pinot Noir. However the main left a lot to be desired though, the chicken kefta over crepe was three small nuggets for 32 euro over a simple salad and a misplaced crepe. While the bass was delicious, the potatoes baked in grape leaves were just odd. And the polenta just felt out of place. Appetizers shined especially the Lamb Keftga and the breads throughout were just fantastic. All in all an expensive but very...
