When the cat's away, the mice will play.
Kuccini used to offer excellent food and make you feel at home, but not anymore.
The young staff in charge of the restaurant lack any service attitude, gastronomic experience, or willingness to learn it. The service was deplorable from start to finish, with discourtesy at reception, inattentiveness during the meal, and rudeness when it came time to pay.
They were sipping limoncello and chatting with friends at a table outside from 10:30 PM until 11 PM, neglecting the dining room.
One table cleared their own plates and took them to the bar to clean up before dessert. Another table had to go outside to find them to pay by card. As for us, we had to fetch our own utensils to keep our pasta from getting cold. They left us dessert menus and then disappeared. When we managed to get their attention to place an order, they told us the kitchen was already closed. They offered to bring tiramisu but forgot, and instead brought us the check. When we pointed out the forgotten dessert, they told us that if we wanted dessert after 10:30 PM, we could go to McDonald's.
I must add that they don't speak English (or pretend not to understand), nor Italian, nor Spanish.
This is the service provided for a 50 euros per person dinner. Need I say more? I do not...

We chose this restaurant for our last night in France and They exceeded our expectations. After spending 10 days in Italy, we were a little skeptical on whether or not they could top the food we had there and they most certainly did. The only thing I can really “critique” is the Tiramisu which was delicious and light (I prefer more airy tiramisu, and that it was) but it could’ve used maybe a little more boldness— for lack of better word. Either way it was still incredibly enjoyable and I would order it again. Nonetheless, all of our dishes were phenomenal! The atmosphere was wonderful! Quaint and comforting (more so than other places we’ve dined at in France). The service was exceptional and our servers gave us fantastic recommendations on food/drinks.
Thank you gentlemen for being the definition of true hospitality!
Definitely a must try if you’re looking for a bite of (real) Italian food...
Read moreHad the half-portions of truffle tagliatelle and beef steak, which were decent and cooked al-dente and medium rare respectively.
What stood out was the service provided by the male waiter (didn’t manage to get his name) who served the alfresco diners. I had ordered the half-size steak, but was served a full-size. I didn’t bring it to their attention as I thought maybe he just didn’t hear me clearly and did not want to trouble him further. I was all ready to pay for the full portion but the kind waiter took the initiative to confess that he submitted my order wrongly and will charge me for the half portion instead.
Instead of docking his pay, I hope you give him a raise! Honesty is a...
