Regular of l’épidon. I feel really blessed to have this restaurant in my area, indeed a gem in Paris. Gourmet food created from fresh organic ingredients and chef Joseph changes the menu from time to time. Joseph is very polite and humble, yet extremely talented. I even doubt he once worked at Michelin rated restaurant, as I’ve dined at many fine dining places, these are exactly what you will get at l’Epidon restaurant BUT at cheaper price, definitely a great deal!!! We speak a little French but are able to communicate with him. When we told him that we had a good time, he said his definition of good time is putting a big smile on customer. When we told him that we really enjoy exploring French cuisine and how much we love his food, he said he thinks that the best cuisine is to simplify, by using the most simple, healthy and organic ingredients. I personally really like everything, especially the the shrimp avocado tartare and fish. Usually I don’t like to have dessert at restaurant, because many of them can’t beat those you can get at well-known patisseries. Given the entire dining experience is so good, my husband and I decided to give their desserts a try and boy……they didn’t disappoint us. My husband is never a fan of cheesecake but he ended up ordering the mango cheesecake, it was so unique and tasty. We order desserts at l’epidon ever since. If you are a big fan of cheese, try their dessert- plate of 2 cheeses, you won’t regret. If you want to spend less yet still getting fine dining quality cuisine, go here! Highly recommend! We happened upon this little gem, situated a couple of minutes walk away from our hotel, and we were pleasantly surprised. The entrées and mains were fresh, beautifully presented and were simple yet effective. Two of us are coeliac, but that wasn’t a problem since most of the food was gluten free anyway. The issue with most restaurants in Paris that advertise as being ‘gluten free’, is that they also tend to misconstrue ‘gluten’ with ‘flavour’. This restaurant has been the exception to this. Home-cooked bliss and an unmatched charm. 1 chef, 1 server. What else do you need? Highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for a quiet little corner to share great wine and great food whilst still being coeliac-friendly and gluten free.

This is Paris. There are many great restaurants to choose from. But this place is our favorite! The quality, presentation, and service is stellar. And the price is half what you'd pay at many places for less quality. We are here twice in the 3 weeks to we spent in Paris. The food was amazing both times! I can't say enough how impressed we were. We ate at another well-known restaurant with a we'll-reviewed chef, and this place pleased us so much more for half the price. And best of all, they use organic/bio ingredients! Their lesson from their craft shines thru! We can't wait to go back!

L’Epidon is a little gem of a place! It is located in an area that offers expensive food that is generally inferior to that which is offered in this clean, comfortable and friendly restaurant. Josef, the proprietor, greets you and immediately makes you feel at home before he enters his small open kitchen where he works his magic.

Josef is the sole chef; he both cooks and, along with a staff of one, waits on tables when he can. He is a culinary artist, who turns out dishes that look like modern works of art in their color and composition (think: a mix of Mondrian and Klee). His canvas is the plate upon which he composes, with fresh and organic food, culinary delights that provoke one’s sight, smell, and taste.

I go to l’Epidon whenever I am in Paris and always find myself torn between the aesthetic appreciation of the art before me and my desire to dig into the food and taste from a selection of organic wines. In the end, I dig in.

But words fail to express my wonder at this little jewel of a place. It is a wonder shared by other guests, whose appreciation of Josef’s culinary and artistic feats is a conversation starter and way of introduction. I have made several friends, both foreign and French, whom I see whenever I am in Paris. Our regular meeting place: L’Epidon. Our order of business: to enjoy L’Epidon’s colorful and fresh food...

Wonderful experience at this cozy, tasteful and hospitable restaurant! Tired and hungry after walking all day, we came to this little restaurant around the corner from our AirBnB. The delicious, artful, healthy and unique dishes and wines (excellent selection and advice!) we enjoyed would have been enough for us to be happy. On top of that, we were very cozy in this tiny local establishment where you get to interact with the chef if you are so inclined. I was, and by the end of our meal we felt as if we were visiting old friends. Even our 5 year young son clearly enjoyed his entire experience saying that this is his favorite restaurant in the Universe. Desert probably helped too. Personally, I have never tasted a cheese cake like the “uncooked” melt-in-your-mouth angelic concoction at l’Epidon. We eat out a lot and this whole experience was quite remarkable for Paris or anywhere. This is why I’m writing my first restaurant review ever. Merci de votre hospitalité Joseph et Nadia! À...
