Very rude owner (if you are Afghan) ... psh the irony? As soon as we entered the restaurant and greeted the owner in Afghan fashion his mood changed and he seemed annoyed. He spent more time talking and laughing up the French couple who were dining before finally coming to our table and asking what our order was in an off-putting way. To be very honest, it was the worst Afghan restaurant experience of my life.
Owner stated that the restaurant is not for Afghans. With that in mind, don't come here looking for some authentic Afghan food, hospitality or atmosphere. Come here if you want over-priced, Westernized Afghan food and a performative experience by a moody owner.
To the owner, I understand you may have your own thoughts and experiences with some Afghans, or it could be that living in France for so long has made you averse to the Afghan people and/or culture, but to overall be unwelcoming and rude to your fellow Afghans while profiting off our shared culture is just disgraceful and disrespectful. I genuinely want to see us Afghans thrive and do well, especially across the globe. However, that cannot be done at the price of disrespect to our people.
