It was as if we walked into the home of a very good friend…. the warmth and personality of Christopher was a compliment to the town of Montmartre, one block from the Moulin Rouge. As we took our seats in the cozy place filled with small details and some quirky distractions, we were doted on with refreshments and baguettes, and given the chalk written specials in addition to the fine menu selections . Wanting everything, I decided to order a few dishes “for the table” in addition to what each of the 5 of us selected with the help of Christopher. He passionately described each dish as if his palette was being satiated by it that second ! My mouth was watering, and the feast on the table was exquisitely presented on dishes that visually impressed me almost as much as the tastes ! The food was so FRESH and delicately prepared to perfection . The attentiveness of service was timed appropriately and very satisfying. If I lived here, this would be my “go to” place ! We were staying just down the road from this wonderful cafe. We called in and luckily got the last table. The Manager there Peter is an absolute delight and full of character. The food in here is fabulous. The second time we popped in we were very tired after a long day out exploring and called in just to make a booking for a meal on our last night. They had live music on and made us so welcome that we came out of there 3 hours later. On our last night the music was fantastic and yet we could still have a conversation. This place is very highly recommended. Fabulous food, ice cold beer and very attentive staff all come together to make you not only feel so very welcome but that you’re part of the family.
