I am never one to leave a review but I had the absolute worst experience at this establishment. The one person working was beyond rude to my mother and I and he literally spent minutes yelling at us and attempting to belittle us. Long story short: we were trying to sit down and order a meal and drinks for brunch when waiter #1 told us we could not have our to go cups of coffee from a different place- which is no big deal. While waiter #1 didn’t speak English well (which is no problem at all I understand we’re in France) my mother and I were trying to understand what he was telling us because there was an obvious language barrier and also due to the fact that bringing coffee like Starbucks or something to a restaurant is not a big deal at all where we’re from if you’re planning on ordering a meal. Due to the language barrier and the different cultural norms, the 3 of us were having a nice conversation, and were even laughing about how we wish we spoke better French and on how my mother and I would come back in about 15 minutes when another person came out of the back of the restaurant and instantly started yelling at us. He told us that we were not well traveled, said that our money would be better spent at the grocery store across the street, and said that we had no business dining there. While my mother and I refused to raise our voice back at him, the boy (can’t call someone who behaves like that a “man”) continued to be belligerent until he stormed off to the back. While I don’t know if our appearance had anything to do with this interaction, I do want to note that we are two woman of color . He was so nasty that the first waiter working came up and apologized to us for his behavior and a man passing by recorded him screaming at us and afterwards said that he couldn’t believe that we were spoken to like that. While we had dined there previously and had enjoyed it, the second time we attempted to go absolutely ruined it for it for us. Mind you this all happened because we had coffee that we’re willing to finish and throw out before coming back to the restaurant because my mother and I understand that different places have different norms. If the second person came in like a rational being- all of this would’ve been avoided. On the bright side- this lead us to try a different place nearby which is a huge part of being...

Nestled just steps from the Champs-Élysées, this traditional brasserie offered a cozy yet elegant setting, enhanced by soft lighting and tasteful holiday decorations. The attentive staff ensured that every moment felt special, making it an ideal venue for a romantic holiday dinner.
Our evening began with a glass (more like a bottle by the end of the evening) of crisp Champagne, setting the tone for a delightful meal. We started with the foie gras, which was rich and velvety, and the frog legs, fried to a delicate crispness that highlighted their subtle flavor. The escargot arrived in a fragrant garlic and herb butter, offering a classic taste of French cuisine.
For the main course, we chose the beef bourguignon, a hearty dish featuring tender beef slow-cooked in red wine with root vegetables. While the flavors were robust and satisfying, a slightly more generous portion of meat would have elevated the dish further. Nonetheless, it was a comforting and flavorful centerpiece to our meal.
We concluded with a crème brûlée that was the epitome of indulgence, its perfectly torched sugar crust giving way to a smooth, creamy custard beneath. Each spoonful was a sweet finale to a memorable evening.
Le Carré Élysée’s combination of traditional French dishes, attentive service, and inviting ambiance made our Christmas dinner truly special. It’s a place where classic cuisine and heartfelt hospitality come together, creating an experience that lingers long after...
Read moreThe food is good but is it worth 1 hour wait in the cold? Definitely NOT. Is it worth even a 20 minute wait? Also not. Maybe it's worth waiting for 10 minutes but the problem is - the owner (as he proclaimed himself) will keep saying that it's about 10 minutes, but he will keep letting people with reservation in, so you will end up waiting 1+ hour. What reservation, you ask? Clearly there is no reservation because no reservation system is available on Google, neither is the website with information how to reserve. Well here is some insider info - you can reserve, so make sure you call and do. Or better yet, just choose another restaurant. As a cherry on the too, when aiapproachedthe owner to ask if he even has any tables that are available for walk-ins (without reservation) because the queue was not moving, instead of answering my question he told me that he has reservations and he will give us a TABLE OF he has one available. And that's after we already waited for 55 minutes. Moreover he kicked me Offa chair outside which was not used by anyone. Then, when we finally went in - he told me to "relax" even though I didn't say anything, but he didn't like my face. What a smart move by a hospitality business owner, to tell a disappointed and hungry customer to "relax"... The waiter who served us was ok but a bit too "happy" and he kept making jokes which we didn't appreciate. Anyway, they don't deserve the rating they current have on Google, simply because they are not capable of managing reservations and client...
