My friends and I had a terrible experience here and would NOT recommend this place to anyone at all…

We walk in for dinner one night to order drinks, share pasta, and a crepe. Some of our other friends were already in the restaurant doing the same thing we were going to do which was share some food. We got sat right next to our other friends who were already eating their food.

The waiter (who I assume was the owner) comes up to our table to get our drink order. There was 5 of us, 3 of which ordered waters and the other 2 ordered a mocktail. Our waiter then goes to put the drink order in and gives us some time to decide what we want to eat.

He then comes over to us and we say that we are going to order a pasta and share 2 crepes. The waiter gets so angry at us saying, “No, not in my restaurant, get out of here.” We didn’t believe him at first because we did not know what we did to make him this mad. He then takes up our menus and yells at us to get out. This man was older and we are young girls so the way he was treating us was very unexceptional!! We were sat beside other people and they could not believe we were getting kicked out of a restaurant. As we were walking out, the other men workers were making sure we got out and they were yelling at us on the way out. Other tables were all looking at us in disbelief and confused about what was going on.

Me and my other friend got fully out of the restaurant and this man was outside with a lighter in his hands. Our 3 other friends didn’t make it fully out of the restaurant because they were stopped by 2 other men and the bartender. The men were blocking them in, not allowing them to get out of the restaurant. The men were yelling at them saying, “We made these drinks for you, you have to pay $50 euros in cash before you can leave” (even though we looked at the bar and he hadn’t made them yet). My friend and I, who were outside, were getting questioned by the man with the lighter who was holding it pretty close to us which was very odd. He was asking us what was going on and what we were doing. Our friends back inside were blocked inside the restaurant surrounded by these middle aged men were being yelled at and forced to pay for these drinks even though we were kicked out and never even had the drinks. We did not have enough euros in cash for this so we ended up having to pay on our card for this. All of the men were verbally aggressive toward. The bartender made the drinks in a to-go cup and he insisted that we took the drinks that he made, but we did not because we just needed to get out of there as soon as we could.

Keep in mind… our other friends that sat beside us, did this exact same thing did not have a problem at all and did not get scammed like we did.

This was quite literally the worst experience my friends and I have ever had. It was very scary for us and being surrounded/trapped inside a restaurant by grown men was AWFUL. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. This was a scam for us and I do not want this to happen to anyone else. The whole entire staff of this restaurant was very rude and aggressive…

We were HIGHLY disappointed! Spend your money elsewhere and avoid this scam!! DO...

It was the first restaurant that had free tables on our way out of Sacre Coeur. We sat with my wife and two kids, and after checking the menu, we decided this was not a place where they could eat anything. We decided to leave, and we have even paid for the toilet that the kids wanted to use, but the attitude was super rude. I was even going to give them more of what they have asked but never seen so angry person doing this in front of other customers. We were there for no longer than 3 or 4 minutes... we sat at La Cremaillere 1900 and everything was just right ✅️ 👌

Edit: As I said we went to the next restaurant. I mentioned that and that I offered to pay for your miserable toilet (words from the kids). And we were hungry. I just didn't expect that from an owner or manager.

Yes. My 2 year old daughter drawed something while we were deciding what to eat on the paper you have on your tables. I am not sure about napkins, lol...

But believe me, we went for a pretty decent lunch at...

We had the most unfortunate encounter with the staff of this restaurant especially for us as parents. Our young daughter made the mistake of sitting on a chair in that restaurant to rest her legs for few seconds and that extremely” unforgivable “ act from our young daughter enraged the owner of this restaurant and he shouted at her and then when my husband asked him to not talk to a young girl in that way he stated shouting at him and banging the chair to the floor. Please note that his restaurant was empty! Well to you sir I will say it in your language: calmez vous monsieur c’est juste une petite fille qui voulait se reposer pour 2 secondes. Si vous vous étiez comporté de cette manière chez nous dans le pays où nous résidons croyez moi vous seriez en prison car personne n’a le droit de s’adresser aux enfants des autres de cette manière. Maybe you should consider changing your attitude it might help you with...

Very pleased with the food and the service here. We were greeted politely in a language of our choice (French, English, Spanish, Italian and Thai were on offer) by a pleasant guy out front. We were shown to a nice table in a quiet area of the restaurant and left to study the menu for a few minutes. We ordered from the 3 course menu. The courses and drinks were served promptly. The food was of decent quality (we aren't talking Michelin star quality here but then Michelin star restaurants don't do 3 courses for around €21). I'd say the portion sizes were fair for the price and you can choose well balanced dishes with plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit on offer. We ate in better restaurants during our trip but then paid a lot more for it. Overall, good value for money and good quality food served by friendly and efficient staff.

Bad customer service. And bad good. AVOID! 1. Arab guy needs to be fired ASAP!!! He insulted a group of 6 ppl of multi national background. Little he knew I understand Arabic. So when I told him you need to respect client/people. He answered " when then they are people"!! I'm shocked the level of poor customer service Paris reached. 2. Other rude waiters (the indian in white shirt) who ignored our ask for water, although we sat down and placed our orders. (It is normal for tourists to drink water after a long walk). Also he looked at me weird when I ordered a glass of water when I arrived alone. He should know this is an obligation by law. 3. Tarte tatin was burnt with melted creme (photo attached) 4. The only nice person was the young girl. Typical bad Parisienne lack of customer service.
