We went to Flow yesterday for apéros at their outdoor cafe (not on barge). The young staff behind the counter needs attitude adjustment. I’ve lived in Paris for 14-years, I speak French, and I know what rude is, but they were downright awful. Just bad attitude with so much anger, it’s like how dare you ask for a bottle of wine when I’m gossiping with my co-worker. You literally had to go through different counters pay at one counter, go to another counter to pick up wine. The area where we went to pick up the wine she had such a bad attitude, she was downright disrespectful. I really wanted to cancel our order and move to the next cafe. BAD, BAD, BAD. Fortunately, later the wait-staff (who came to work later) started their shift, and they were quite pleasant. BTW, we were a group of 15 and spent a lot of money. But if they don’t want our business we’ll go somewhere else.
I also am a food and travel writer. But I don't want to spend anymore time on this God awful place.
Management, please tell your staff if they're angry, then don't come to work and take it out on the customers.
NO, WE WILL NOT GO BACK. NOR WOULD I EVER...
Read moreWe ordered a bottle of wine at the terrasse 15 min before it closed and we barely had enough time to finish it before they closed. They told we were unable to go to the boat to finish it despite it being the same place. That was fine for us, ok we missed the window, until we saw other people laughing with the security guy and then getting in. We asked him why they were allowed to get in and not us, they said they were “usuals”. By the time we were discussing why they did not accept us other people got in…
It seems like they just look at you and say “nope, not them” and then loosely not apply their rules to other people for no reason whatsoever and let the people that they seem “worthy” of...
Read moreWhen I got there the place was empty, they gave me and my friend a table. After more than 30 min without service I tried to order 2 beers and I was told I could only keep the table if we ordered a wine bottle but for some reason we would have to choose one over 52 euros.
The information about ordering wine being mandatory was not given to us when we entered so it sounded like discrimination, I really hope it wasn’t. The place was still empty when we left and many people had tables while drinking beers.
We would have spent a lot more than 52 euros during the night, as we did after leaving in a much better place. The service at FLOW is so bad that if I didn’t try to get my beer they would have let us with a table the whole night even without spending anything, and after we tried to order we were...
