This was probably one of the best places to eat in Paris! To summarize before I go on a more detailed review, the service was genuine and engaged; the food was of high quality and presentation; and the atmosphere combined with the presentation (not to mention the beautiful sights!) cultivates a wonderful dining experience that I recommend to either tourist or local.
This is my first time in Paris, a vacation that my girlfriend and I planned as our senior trip. When we arrived in the city, it was safe to say that we felt overwhelmed with the sheer number of tourists that were in the center of Paris. Of course we expected this, but we did not expect the lack of quality restaurants in the area. Admittedly we did not stop in all of them, but it was clear that they catered to tourists, which resulted in an environment that wasn’t comfortable or pleasurable. After dining at one of these restaurants, we knew we had to do a little bit of exploring. This is when we found out about Riviera Fuga through another excellent review.
First and foremost, the service was impressive. As first time visitors from the United States, we feared the typical Parisian stereotype of a waiter (i.e, rude & uncooperative). Instead, we were greeted by a gracious and authentic host, then served by a charming waiter. We came in for a second day (and definitely a third!) when we were then served by an enthusiastic bartender. They were able to strike conversations with us and had a sense of charisma that you don’t find typically in a Parisian restaurant so close to a tourist hotspot.
Secondly, the food was absolutely delicious. I am not a food critic at all, though I do enjoy dining, so I may not have the extensive vocabulary to accurately describe the wonderful combinations of flavors we had bursting in our mouths. We had the aranchini to start, the octopus and chicken as our main courses, and the misu for dessert (their twist on a tiramisu). The main courses blew us away and I adored the flavor combinations on the plate. I highly recommend dishes that can bring you to another experience, which I would say these dishes achieve. I must also note that their cocktails are wonderful.
Overall, between the delicious dishes, excellent service and comfortable atmosphere, Riviera Fuga is a rare gem in the heart of Paris. In a time where the center can be saturated with restaurants clearly catering to tourists, this restaurant stands out as one that takes pride in their food quality and their impression. Thank you for making it such a...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rivieira Fuga for a business dinner with my coworkers, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of spectacular. Located on a charming boat with a breathtaking view of Paris, Rivieira Fuga proved to be a hidden gem that left us all in awe.
Our evening was elevated by the exceptional service provided by Baptiste, our waiter, whose attention to detail and genuine warmth made the entire dining experience truly memorable. His explanations of each dish were not only informative but delivered with a delightful touch of humor that added a special charm to the evening. Baptiste's service was undeniably a perfect 10/10.
Opting for the 7-course Chef's Choice menu at just 60 euros per person turned out to be a brilliant decision. Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, showcasing the chef's creativity and skill. The flavors were rich, diverse, and perfectly portioned, leaving us eager for the next course. The presentation of each dish was as impressive as its taste, a true feast for the senses.
To complement our meal, we selected a few wines and we were not disappointed. The wine list was extensive, offering a variety of options to suit different palates. Baptiste's suggestion for the dessert wine was spot-on, enhancing the sweetness of the final course and providing a perfect ending to our gastronomic journey.
The ambiance of Rivieira Fuga, combined with its unique location on the water, added a touch of magic to the evening. The view of Paris illuminated at night was simply enchanting, creating a backdrop that enhanced the overall dining experience.
In conclusion, our dinner at Rivieira Fuga exceeded all expectations. The impeccable service, delectable cuisine, and enchanting atmosphere made it a night to remember. If you're looking for a culinary experience that goes beyond the ordinary, Rivieira Fuga is the place to be. Five stars all around – we left happy, satisfied, and with a newfound appreciation for this Parisian...
Read moreWe first came here when it opened last year, around the Olympics. They had a different chef then and the food was MUCH better. Now it is very disappointing, with ingredients that are obviously not fresh or of high quality. For instance, the Octopus (their signature dish!) used to be very tender and now it is like eating rubber bands.
Also, if you are American they will always give you the worst table in the restaurant, no matter how early you make your reservation or what table you request. This is, sadly, a problem at many French restaurants- as we live here know and have to deal with this issue regularly. I booked 10 days in advance and asked for a table by the window. We were one of the first tables to arrive that evening, but they stuck us in front of a window that had a boat moored directly in front of it. Not only did it block the entire view, but the boat banged against the restaurant the entire evening. It was not at all enjoyable. We asked to move but were told all the other tables were “reserved” (even though I made my reservation almost 2 weeks in advance).
To add insult to injury, AFTER we sat down, the waitress informed us we had to be out in 1 hour 45minutes, as they had booked someone after us. We were never told that at the reservation and would never have come had we known.
Also, anybody who travels or lives in France knows it’s rude to present the bill, unless it is requested. Yet, immediately after we finished our meal the waitress slapped the bill down on the table, requesting payment. All around, a horrible experience and super embarrassing for us, as we were hosting guests from out of town and were looking forward to an enjoyable evening. Do yourself a big favor and go...
