My favorite Japanese restaurant in Paris! They only bring red quality salmon and their prices are medium (almost the same with a normal sushi place in the city). Almost everything in the menu is excellent, but I highly recommend the Shake and Shake Nagi. I also love the edamame, and in this place they really taste like the original Japanese ones. As a soft drink I recommend the green tea without sugar or if it’s in the winter the hot green tea (excellent!). For desert you need to the mochi (the one with green tea!)! Photos with all these attached. Location is excellent, just next to Hôtel de Ville and close to Notre Dame, which makes it a very good place to stop for lunch or dinner, in between tourist activities. Since the size of the restaurant is quite small (around 36-40 places) their interior design is simple and clean with many Japanese like ornaments. I also attached photos of the menu (23.06.2019). The ceviche and the salmon chirashi are an absolute delight, as are the 'special' maki like the shake mango. Major brownie points for rapid and friendly service. I've never waited more than 5-6 minutes for an order dine-in or takeaway, and even so the owner offers a miso soup or a tea in cold weather while waiting. On one occaison a group of three of us ordered via Uber Eats. After two hours, around 22h, our order hadn't arrived! (Nothing to do with the restaurant, Uber Eats just messed up and never called us). We called the restaurant to see if they could help; their chef had already gone home but the owner put together an excellent selection for us and personally delivered it, knowing we would not be able to order from other restaurants so late. Always my first choice for sushi...
Read moreLooking for sushi in Paris? Just like any city, Paris has plenty of Japanese restaurants from which to choose. We did a quick Google Maps search after visiting Notre-Dame cathedral when a sushi urge hit us. This was the closest and easiest place to walk to and had a decent rating. There's nothing extraordinary about this restaurant, but everything was fine. The menu had plenty of options, the prices were normal, and the sushi, sushimi, etc. was tasty. So overall, we had a good experience at this casual sushi restaurant. If you're in this area of Paris and a sushi craving hits you, you'll be satisfied...
