I hate to break this to you. Actually, strike that, I'll love to be the one to tell you to save yourself the agony and go elsewhere to eat. It is not just this restaurant, it seems to be the norm in Paris, the closer you are to major tourist attractions like the Eiffel, Louvre, etc., the more mediocre the food will be. My friend and I came here during our vacation because it was recommended by a colleague. However, we were utterly disappointed by both the food and service. The food came out cold with zero taste to it. I ordered the Feel Good Poke Bowl that comes with pomegranate and was shocked to see that it only had 5 seeds of pomegranate in it. One of which was rotten. My friend got one of the fish dishes and couldn't even eat it because it was that bad. Even school cafeteria food doesn't taste that bad. The server was very rude and blatantly ignored us multiple times. Unfortunately, tourists will pay for and eat whatever is available to them, hence the reason they're still in business.

Our absolute favorite restaurant from our last Parisian trip. We were there for about 1 hour 45 minutes but it was an exquisite, luxurious experience. We didn’t order everything at once. We had the pâté entrée, followed by the duck in pepper sauce with pan-fried vegetables and a steak with pommes frites. Just amazing. Service was a typical French experience — not excessively warm and bubbly, but very professional and admirable. The atmosphere is so unique and cool (everyone’s photos speak for themselves). It was a quirky experience as the tables are packed together so tightly the waiter had to physically pull the table out into the pathway so I could scooch around it and sit in the booth. Then I was re-blocked in. But, what a fun experience! Fast forward another week in Paris, it remained the most delicious and memorable meal of our visit.

We were walk-ins, strangers to the restaurant on our first night back in Paris after 37 years and we discovered a gem. Thanks to the kind staff, we were able to score a table in what we called the "Hemingway Nook" on a very busy night. The ambience was festive, the staff and our server were cheerful. Groups where we sat were in jovial moods, fitting of the relaxed and inviting (lots of greenery) atmosphere. I had a very satisfying steak au poivre and my wife enjoyed the Le Pre aux Clercs salad with salmon. We were also introduced to Jupiter 0.0 NA beer! Very tasty! Imagine my shock when the tab, including dessert, was less than $60US. That same meal would have been double that in the US - and probably not taste as good. Thanks Le Pre aux Clercs for a memorable welcome back to France. We look forward to seeing you again.

A bottle of water is more tasteful than the onion soup they serve here. It’s just bland and if you are looking for any onions in the soup better take a magnifying glass with you because it’s hard to find any onion at all. The gratin on the soup was just melted cheese and not crispy. The steak was too hard to chew on that even my dog would have problems eating it and probably would choke on it. Their steaks are probably just beef cuts That are meant for slow cooking or stews. Anyone that know how to cook knows those are the cheapest cuts of beef. The service is the bare minimum to non existent. The waiter serving drinks while holding the glasses at the rim ,that’s really unhygienic. It appears that they dont have a consistent way of plating the food, when I compared the same dish there are multiple versions. Look for “salmon” dish in the photo and have a look for yourself. In conclusion unprofessional and a waste of money for the terrible food. The only edible items where the foie gras and the fries. The People that rate high are probably who do speak french and doesn’t appear to be a tourist. It’s a tourist trap, I believe they discriminate against tourist. They don’t have pride in the french cuisine and are just out to make a quick buck from you. I really regret eating here. You have been warned, avoid this place! Keep walking, there’s nothing...

Saw this very beautiful place once walking by and saved for a future visit.

Well, as you can see by the amount of stars I gave I wasn’t happy at all.

Very beautiful decor inside but we couldn’t sit there because we didn’t want a whole meal. We were 4 and it was 6 pm, there were a lot of free tables. So we were eating on the terrasse and I ordered one crème brûlée and cup of tea, my friends ordered one onion soup, some type of tapas and one poke bowl. The soup was good, tapas not so good , the poke bowl - not a poke bowl at all. The most strange thing was some type of ceasar sauce on top of that. Not tasty at all, my friend didn’t finish her dish.

By the time I get my crème brûlée which was ok I didn’t get my tea

You need to know that the cherry on top of all of this were ✨THE famous Parisian WAITERS✨ 🤌🏻

Honestly I almost forgot about them cause I’m going very rarely at touristic kind of places.

By the moment all my friends ate their dishes I didn’t get my freaking tea even after reminding about it twice…..

I guess just that a dish like a ✨TEA✨ are too hard to make, about 2 business days.

Well, the service was terrible and ruined all the atmosphere, I have nothing...

Just come back from my first ever visit to Paris for my birthday and found this amazing gem of a place. It was so good we went there the last 2 nights of our trip, the night before and then again on my birthday itself. Sadly we went home the following day ☹️. We didn’t take any photos of the meals we had, but unfortunately we too busy eating them!. Our waiter on both nights was called Arthur. He was really friendly, made us feel very welcome, remembered it was my birthday the second night, and his service was perfect. He was also very knowledgeable about all the dishes on the menu. Everything we tried was so delicious, including the French Onion Soup, duck confit, the Be Beautiful poke bowl, the steak with pepper sauce and the choux pastry dessert with the most divine salted caramel ice cream I’ve ever had (and I’ve tried a few). The dauphinoise potatoes were also exceptional. Everything was cooked to perfection on both nights and although it was busy we didn’t feel rushed or cramped. This place is definitely worth a visit, and is also very reasonably priced for the quality of the meals. I think our bill was about €80 each night for the food and...
