A Memorable Evening at Maggie During our stay at the adjoining hotel, we decided to try Maggie for dinner—and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home.
The food was simply outstanding. I had the lamb chops with bacon jam, which were absolutely divine—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The combination of the tender lamb and the smoky sweetness of the bacon jam was great. My wife ordered the chicken escalope, and she couldn’t stop raving about how perfectly crispy and tender it was as well as the large potion size (which she could not finish).
The staff was friendly and attentive. It’s not easy to find a restaurant that nails both the food and the hospitality, but Maggie delivered on all fronts.

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. I started with the mushroom appetizer, which was rich, earthy, and perfectly prepared. For the main course, I opted for the tuna steak, and it did not disappoint—succulent, fresh, and seasoned just right. To complement the meal, I enjoyed a cup of rooibos tea, which was a perfect, soothing finish.
The service was exceptional, with our waiter Charles being particularly attentive and professional, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was top-notch.
During my stay at the hotel Rochechouart, the reception team—Lait, Nadia, Yovanka, and Paul—made the experience even more memorable. They were warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their professionalism and attention to detail made me feel truly valued as a guest.
Overall, it was a fantastic stay and dining experience. Highly...
Read moreI had really high hopes for this restaurant, with some great classics on the menu and a stunning setting I thought we'd struck a hidden gem. Maybe we were unlucky as our table was right next to a table of 17 and the restaurant struggled to juggle the numbers, for a reservation made for 8pm we didn't actually eat our mains until after 10pm. Our medium rare steak was very rare which we decided to eat anyway as we didn't want to wait much longer. The nice Pomerol (over €100) we ordered and asked to have decanted was put into a very dusty decanter which I ended up wiping off myself at the table. Our meal was over €300 which for the quality and lack of attention to service was a bit of a kick in the teeth. We've eaten for less in both, Paris & London, and had better food and service. Hopefully other diners have a...
