What a great place!

I was in Paris looking for a wine bar to conclude the few days i had spent there. I found MAGNUM by accident, and thougt it looked cozy. Once me and my friends got there, I knew we had made the right choice!

First of all, the selection of wine is out of this world! There's literally something for everyone at MAGNUM! A recommendation would be to try one of their orange wines. They're so good!

Second of all, the overall aesthetic of the place is very nice and down to earth. Some of the wines that they serve are displayed on shelves throughout the interior of the bar, and sometimes they pick them off the shelves, and serve them directly to you! We thought that was kind of cool.

Third, the customer service is fantastic. I didn't quite catch their names, but the 2 gentleman that served us were very professional and helpful. They guided us excellently through the menu, and helped us pick out our wines for the evening. On top of that, they were more than willing to answer any questions about the wines, which made the overall experience much for immersive and fun!

MAGNUM gets an easy 5 starts from me! I even told them that I would return to their establishment, should I ever find myself in...

A Promising Start, Diminished by Disappointing Service

Upon arrival, the ambiance was inviting, and the wine selection commendable—elements that initially set a positive tone for the evening. However, the owner's demeanor introduced an unexpected tension that detracted from the overall experience.

As someone who has traveled extensively and visited Paris multiple times, I appreciate the nuances of local culture and service styles. Yet, the interaction here felt less like a cultural difference and more like a disregard for basic hospitality. The lack of warmth and attentiveness was surprising and, frankly, disheartening.

It's unfortunate when the service overshadows the quality offerings of a place. While the initial impressions were favorable, the subsequent experience left much to be desired.

In summary, while the establishment has potential, the service experience may prompt patrons to consider alternative venues where customer care...

My daughter and I visited Magnum La Cave a few days ago and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine. The wine selection is excellent, and the staff is knowledgeable and welcoming, happy to offer great recommendations. We arrived without a reservation and found the bar full. We decided to book a table for the next day, but just as we were about to leave, a spot opened up — the staff immediately offered us the table, and we stayed. It was such a kind gesture that made us feel truly welcome. We especially enjoyed the delicious dips and small bites served alongside the wines. A charming spot in the Marais, perfect for a cozy and authentic Parisian experience. Highly...

Absolutely an amazing find here in Paris. Sure you can get wine many places. However the proprietor Marco makes Magnum La Cave our favorite new wine bar in Paris. They have a great selection of biodynamic wines. We had a gamay as well as a bottle of sparkling Italian rose wine. His food selections are spot on for a wine bar - we ordered the charcuterie plate and it had some mesmerizing cheeses and wonderful meats. The Gorgonzola was one of the absolute best cheeses I have had. The setting is cozy and intimate. Music selection is spot on and not too loud. And his hours are perfect as he is open late and you never feel rushed. We plan on coming back with our friends and just ourselves many many times! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Let me start like that... I lived in France for 6 years, and by far, Marco is one of the best hosts that I have ever met in Paris. Super attentive, careful, spend time with you, and speak at least 3 different languages fluently. The food was beautiful, exactly whay you need for a wine bar. Don't expect a fine dining or fancy restaurant setting, this is food for pairing and enjoying your wine. Their selection is amazing and I only regret that I could not be with many friend to try different bottles. Expect to pay 30ish euros per person, to drink well and have quite a few bites. More than worth it.

The saving grace of this wine bar is Marco. Fantastic service, great voice, good vibe. I came two nights later to drink a bottle Marco recommended and was told I could not drink said bottle in the location I bought it from. It was my last night in Paris and left a really sour taste in my mouth. Took the bottle home and enjoyed it while packing before my flight the next morning. There are better choices in the city.
