Went here for dinner on my birthday, as we were not sure which part of the city we would end up in, so did not book anything, and we found most places very busy and unable to accommodate us. We were initially happy, the service okay considering they were busy, and the food was above average. Alarm bells began to ring when the waiter refused to clean the shells from our Snails, which my partner likes to collect, and this has always been no problem in the past. Then my partner mentioned to them that it was my birthday, hoping they might do something a little extra, and at the end they brought over 2 shots of cheap vodka (I think it was Vodka anyway ..!) On our way out, she said she was disappointed as the waiter mentioned they woiod bring over a cake at the end, and the manager literally said: 'He brought you two free drinks, cake is your problem not ours." And when she said that he had a poor attitude and we would never go back and not recommend his restaurant, he said: "That's fine, bye." They completely ruined the meal for us and were totally nonchalant, so we will never go back, and I recommend avoiding this place, especially if you like good service. They really don't care and have no idea how to...
Read moreCafe Montorgueil offers a pleasant atmosphere and location. I liked the red fur on the chairs it's cute. They also had blankets if you were cold. I went 3 different times. I usually would get a croissant from Stroher walk to Cafe Montorgueil and order coffee and enjoy people watching. I did go with friends and we ordered a charcuterie board can't remember the name of it but . It was plenty for 3 people. Lots of cheese, meat, jams, bread, even Froi Gras which at this place I didn't like it, itbwas very strong in taste, also little sandwiches with different options, such as fish, chicken and meat. Overall cute place. I didn't try any main food there and i dont think I would, doesn't seem like a place for that. Tables are all tight together, but all the bistros are like that. If you want something small like coffee or wine and snacks while enjoying the day and people watching, I...
Read moreThe treatment we received at this place was atrocious. We were told we had 45 minutes to finish a drink before closing time. They let us pay our drinks straight after ordering. 10 minutes after we received our drinks they started putting the chairs up and removed the heating. After that we were asked to pour our drinks into plastic cups so they could close up. When we said we did not appreciate this, the waiter became rude and angry. Subsequently, a total of five waiters individually approached our table in a very angry and intimidating manner. They started pouring our drinks into the plastic cups themselves and removed our tables while we sat there. When asked if we could at least get (some) of our money back (after all we just payed 60 euro’s for four drinks)...
