Matchan — Restaurant in Paris

I wasn’t that convinced reading the reviews and I expected a nice Japanese place, but this place should be rated 5 stars. The service was quick, the staffs super helpful, polite, patient, and really professional.

The menu might look not diverse at first but every dish was made authentically as Japanese cuisine will make it. I’ve tried different Japanese restaurants in Europe and this is one of two that could actually served a REAL miso soup (that’s definitely not a joke, some many restaurant make it too diluted, or missing ingredients). The vegetables were a good amount to avoid waste and still being filling.

The beef was good but I DEFINITELY would recommend to get the superior beef, which will make the barbecue 10 times better.

The place is not big and the small street might look like a mediocre place BUT it’s the complete opposite. The waiters and waitress try their best to give you privacy and make you enjoy the most your dinner. I could keep writing about this place, how rare and good it was but I invite everyone to come this place, and try this restaurant, where you can find an authentic Japanese food, service and ambiance. We would DEFINITELY come back cuz we enjoyed every minute of the dinner .

Food: The food here is amazing. I think that the cuts that we were given were very good. The beef tongue in particular is a highlight for me. The only one that missed the mark was the chicken.

Service: Very very good. I think that the waitress that helped us with our table was extremely helpful throughout.

Atmosphere: Extremely lively. The authenticity of the place could not be doubted as all we heard throughout the restaurant was Japanese and it felt like their go to place for yakiniku.

While this place does lean on the pricier side, it is a must go for all who want to try authentic...

The special sauced pork belly, special beef tongue, and snowflake beef are all delicious.

I forgot my hat, and when I went to pick it up, the staff had already collected it for me and packed it in a plastic bag. very good service! Really appreciate 🫶. The only complaint is that the space is very small, and some customers who are big size will definitely find the seats...
