Unassuming exterior with a wonderfully charming interior. Great ambiance for an intimate catch up with friends or a date night.
For drinks, we ordered the Nikka Red & Nikka Black Whiskies - both smooth & enjoyable - as well as Soho Litchi, Liquor de Litchi (lychee) which my partner enjoyed.
For food, we ordered the Crab Rolls (twice!), Comme à Tokyo (pork) & Chicken Gyozas, & Saumon/Thon Tataki. The server shared that the Crab Rolls were the chef's invention - note these are like fried egg rolls since the name is not specific - & these were so tasty our friend ordered them again. Both Gyozas (potstickers) were good with the black vinegar they come with. The Saumon/Thon Tataki could have been a little less seared but overall hit the spot too. We weren't that hungry so shared a few entrées (appetizers) & no mains.
The server was really sweet, patient, & full of recommendations which was the cherry on top of our great experience. We'll be back to try more items...

I had high hopes for this place, but it was a complete disappointment. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The food was absolutely terrible—just plain rice with a squirt of Sriracha and a sad, dry piece of fried chicken. No seasoning, no sides, nothing. It felt like zero effort was put into making a decent meal. It tasted as boring as it looked.
What’s even worse is that the beautiful dishes shown in the menu pictures weren’t even available. That felt very misleading. The actual food looked and tasted nothing like what was advertised. False advertising at its finest.
To top it all off, I was still hungry and later in I got a real bad stomach ache. The service was okay but not particularly friendly or welcoming.
Definitely not worth the price. I won’t be...
Read moreCute place with lovely staff, and good food, but a bit bland for my taste for Asian fusion. We started with a papaya salad, which typically would make my mouth zing but not this one and crab nems which hardly had any inside filling or taste but for fried dough. I got the vegetarian bimbimbop and I couldn’t flavor it up enough and my son and husband both ordered the beef bimbimbop and it was more fragrant. The ‘hot sauce’ was not hot, but, rather smoke sauce, which was nice, but not what I was looking for. It did take a really long time for our meal to arrive. All in all we enjoyed it, but really we’re looking for all of the explosions of flavor one typically gets from Thai/Vietnamese/Korean food. I gave Mian Fun a 4 because the staff were so sweet and the...
