As a family that has traversed the globe extensively, fostering cultural understanding and goodwill has always been a priority for us. However, our recent visit to Morny in Paris, France, left us deeply disheartened and compelled to share our lamentable encounter. Here's why our experience fell far short of even the most modest expectations:
Incomplete Orders: Despite our anticipation of sampling a variety of dishes from the menu, several items we ordered failed to materialize. It was dismaying to watch our culinary aspirations evaporate as course after course failed to arrive.
Selective Bread Offering: While observing other tables being graciously offered bread upon being seated, we were inexplicably excluded from this customary gesture of hospitality. This inconsistency in service further compounded our sense of alienation.
Substandard Food Quality: The dishes we did receive were a testament to culinary negligence. Most egregiously, my wife's pizza arrived undercooked, a glaring testament to the kitchen's lack of attention to detail and quality control.
Discriminatory Service: Throughout our meal, the waiter exhibited a distressing bias in his attentiveness. While lavishing attention on French-speaking patrons, he displayed a remarkable apathy towards our family. Such disparate treatment left us feeling marginalized and undervalued as customers.
Continuous Bar Visits for Service: Adding insult to injury, we found ourselves repeatedly trekking to the bar for basic service needs, such as ordering drinks and requesting the bill. This blatant disregard for customer convenience only served to exacerbate our mounting frustration.
Forced Gratuity: To culminate our nightmarish dining experience, the waiter shamelessly coerced us into a 20% tip on top of our bill. This demand for gratuity contradicted the advice of a respected local contact, who informed us that tipping for food service is not customary in Paris. Such audacious behavior bordered on harassment and soured what little remained of our evening.
In conclusion, our visit to Morny was marked by incompetence, indifference, and outright disrespect. It pains us to recount such a dismal encounter, particularly in a city renowned for its culinary prowess and hospitality. We caution prospective diners to exercise caution before patronizing Morny, as the risk of disappointment far outweighs any...
Read moreI visited the restaurant on my dream vacation to Paris. I was looking forward to eating after a long walk around the Champs Elysees and entered this restaurant. I have a nut allergy that can be severe enough to require an EpiPen and so I did my due diligence and asked the waiter if my linguini pesto would be nut free. I was assured by the waitress (who was kind) that it would be nut free. After I had three bites of my dish, I started to feel a weird sensation in the back of my throat and realized I was having an allergic reaction. Luckily, I did not experience any shortness of breath or any other life-threatening symptoms. I immediately stopped eating the dish. At the end of the meal with my friends, we went up to pay. We tried to ask for the pasta dish to be removed from the bill since I only had three bites of it. The bartender (a female with glasses and dark hair) was EXTREMELY rude and started arguing with us and raising her voice saying that the “sauce does not have nuts” and that “it is my fault for having a allergic reaction”. She aggressively questioned whether I had asked the waitress if the dish had nuts before ordering and was extremely defensive. I left feeling very upset after having to pay the full bill for something I barely ate. Overall she was very unprofessional and it was shocking behavior. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone with any kind of concern for allergy and will not be visiting this establishment ever again.
P.S. my friend said everything was flavorless and she is Indian, so I trust her judgement...
Read moreI come from the person who complained about the service for not ordering 1 dish per person, because the information is wrong, the waiter told me explicitly "here only to drink, there to eat", we ordered 4 drinks (2 coffees and 2 drinks) and then 2 pizzas, because we are 4 people and we thought it was crazy to eat 1 pizza per person for the day of tourism and keep walking, after the waiter got confused and clarified me that there we had to order a plate per person, we agreed to move, the problem is not that, the problem is to be all the time cordial and smile to people and they give you back only bad treatment. And let me tell you that in Germany, where I live, as well as in Italy, Spain, France, as a tourist, I have never seen such treatment and "manners" with customers, and if its normal for you, I am sorry for everyone who goes to this restaurant You treated in a condescending and uncordial manner to 4 people, so how many people? You deserve 4 bad reviews, and I see, I can see in all your reviews that all the people are happy with your services and customer...
