Moustache is a gem that has yet to disappoint. The first time I went (this past May), we stumbled across this place and had such an amazing night that this restaurant has become an iconic symbol of my friend group, even for the friends that weren’t there. The meat was incredible, great wine, amazing deserts (recommended by our server!) and maybe best of all was our kind and attentive server that is still talked about as The Best Waitress We Ever Had. Okay, I love my friends and got pretty drunk, I thought. This is not a repeatable experience. But I was wrong…

This weekend I took family to the same place, fully expecting good food but nothing more than a nice meal. Somehow, lightning struck again. The food was still amazing. We got a different server, yet somehow once again she was The Best Waitress We Ever Had. My family had a super full day and the energy was low. After this dinner, there was a chorus of happy chatter: “This place is so great!” “I feel so happy now!” “My whole mood has changed!”. To top it all off, it was raining heavily when we left and our waitress gave us an umbrella!

I don’t understand it. I’ve had good food. I’ve had good servers. I’ve enjoyed a nice, intimate atmosphere. I feel like they’re pumping drugs into the air that puts everyone in a good mood. How else could two groups of people that are so wildly different both leave saying ‘Moustache is magic’?

Sure, I have only two data points. Next time I’m in Paris, I’m definitely...

We had a wonderful experience here during our week-long trip to Paris. We arrived just before our booking at 7pm and the gentleman who worked there was kind enough to explain some of the menu changes to us in English and get us seated. He made us feel so welcome and at home throughout the whole evening, as did the lady who worked there. Service was impeccable!

We had our eyes on the Chateaubriand before arriving, so we ordered that along with a lovely red wine. We asked for the meat medium-rare, and I’d say it came very rare; however, we decided to trust the chef and dig in as it was, and it was beautiful! The meat melted in the mouth and the peppercorn sauce was the best peppercorn sauce we’ve had in any restaurant. The fries were crispy and perfectly cooked, and the salad was fresh and tasty. We ordered the creme brûlée to share for dessert and it was the perfect way to finish the meal. We would highly recommend an evening...

Delicious dinner and superb service. Made an online reservation for four which was confirmed immediately. Aurelie, the restaurant manager, kindly emailed me back after I sent a message indicating I wasn’t sure when our niece and boyfriend would be arriving (from Spain) for dinner. Alas we arrived on time and Aurelie gave us a warm welcome. She was great with wine and food suggestions, which were spot on. We shared a 1.3 kg roast beef, two orders of fries, and two vegetables. Dinner, the Saint Joseph’s red wine, and desserts (panna cotta and chocolate mousse with olive oil and flaky salt - both wow) were all terrific. Aurelie was so kind in letting us overstay our welcome as we were there until midnight on a Friday … well after advertised closing time. Merci beaucoup,...

Oh wow i didn't think a recommendation from a hotel would be this good but this place was amazing. The service was perfect the waiter suggested various options for our kids was so helpful with the drinks suggestions. He was generally perfect and totally bilingual aswell. And the food well wow. The french never bring butter unless asked but the baguette was still amazing. The meat WOW it was just perfect with the sauces and the fries. I never have dessert but here i was tempted by the chocolate and it didnt disappoint. AN UNMISSABLE EXPERIENCE.

Of the many restaurants we tried while in my inaugural trip to Paris, Moustache was among the best. The restaurant is beautifully designed, with rich dark woods and brilliant golden accents. The service staff absolutely contradicts the typical French stereotype, with incredible attentiveness and warmth. And the food? En Français, c’est magnifique. The whisky steak was delicious and punched up by the cracking fries. And the burrata was to die for. Would absolutely sneak down the side street for this hidden gem again.
