Ambiance: 5/5 Matamata Coffee Bar has a beautifully designed interior that strikes the perfect balance between an expensive, upscale vibe and a humble, welcoming atmosphere. It’s a cozy spot that’s great for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet coffee moment. We visited at 16:00 on a rainy day, and it was relatively calm, which made the experience even better.

Food & Drinks: 4.5/5 We tried a few items, and the quality was impressive:

Matcha Latte (5/5): I don’t usually go for unsweetened matcha lattes, but theirs was exceptional. The flavor was balanced, smooth, and refreshing, and the portion size was generous for 6€. Praline Cookie (3/5): The praline cookie was delicious but a bit too sweet for my liking. It’s still a treat worth trying if you have a sweet tooth. it's around 4.5€ if I'm not mistaken. They also offer decaf options and plant-based milks, which is a big plus for those with dietary preferences or restrictions. Service: 5/5 The staff were friendly and accommodating, adding a warm touch to the overall experience.

I was surprised by the treatment and service I received here. I was there for a meeting; and first they served the coffee in a cup that was chipped. Before leaving, I also ordered a dirty golden latte, and even though golden latte is on the menu, the barista refused to make it with espresso. I asked why, and the answer was that they just don’t do that there. So, I ordered the latte and espresso separately, so I could simply pour the espresso in myself, and it was very reluctantly served. Excellent place to have highest class single origin coffees in different variations. Also cookies and snacks are outstandingly nice and tasty.
