Pâtisserie Salon de Thé Kawakami — Restaurant in Paris

This was a lovely find. My daughter loves everything Japanese and I wanted to surprise her on our last day in Paris. We almost missed the place, it's rather small. Inside was bright, simply decorated, and calm. We got there much later than I expected and I was afraid they would no longer serve savoury food but I asked the owner and it was no problem. Everything was cooked fresh so it took a bit of time, but it was really worth it. The ladies were very understanding when my daughter explained that she can't have dairy and asked if she could choose a cake for me in a take away box instead. Over priced and not very tasty (a piece of cake 7-9 euros in place). The portion is small and the work not value its price (other Japanese cafes made several layers of cake or more complicated flavor combination, here the material is quite normal and the the cake is made as simple process as possible)

There’re more Japanese patisserie and cafe in Paris that has much better taste dessert, bento and tea with better price and...

Until now I mostly knew the place for its exquisite pastries and elegant warm welcome. Recently I’ve tried their bento take away, all delicious with little surprises in the side dishes each time. I particularly like the karaage fried chicken, but the grilled salmon is equally good. And the yuzu cake is yummy!

But beyond the dishes and desserts, it’s the people which make this an unforgettable experience. I feel better each...
