Well, well well, Was recommended by someone saying this place is frequented by politicians (think EM), super stars (think TS, BN) and is a must
Being in the middle of the Champs-Élysées region, I wasnt expecting it to be cheap and id have to pay tourist prices.
Went in expecting a culinary experience, oh was I so wrong......
Decor: quite nice, clean
Service: a bit abrupt, a bit disorganised, they brought the wrong food to our table, then brought the right ones, they took it away instantly and then came back with it
Food: Now the fun part, with mains for 40E, Soup/Fried Rice 17E, a pot of tea for 2: 15E. I was expecting something special but what faced me was a tiny bowl of soup in about a 10cm with dishwater tasting soup, vermicelli and match stick sized slivers of rubbery chicken
Fried rice was like from a frozen packet, absolutely as standard as you can get, nothing distinguishing it from a food court
Beef/Chicken Dishes smothered with starchy sauce , the meat being quite tough and atrocious. All I could taste was MSG laden overpowering sauce Did I mention 40E!
Apparently this has been an institution for 40 years.
Back in my country (Not china) this food was served in country towns at the corner takeaway store when the Chinese population was single figures in the city. Catering for the local people as an introduction to Chinese food, and even that was of a higher quality.
I got told local Chinese people also frequent , but i dont believe that for a second. A true Chinese person would never consider that authentic.
At almost michelin star prices, you can increase prices by using premium ingredients such as lobster, wagyu beef, abalone. The prices were even higher than other surrounding restaurants
I weep for the French peoples taste buds if they consider this anything but imitation take away food

Atmosphere: The interiors are well-designed, boasting an inviting and trendy vibe that complements its bustling nature. - ★★★★☆
Menu Variety: The restaurant offers an elaborate menu with a good selection of vegetarian options, catering well to diverse dietary preferences. - ★★★★☆
Food Quality: We ordered staples like fried rice, dumplings, spring rolls, and sweet and sour chicken. While the food was good and satisfying, it wasn’t particularly extraordinary. - ★★★☆☆
Service: Service was impressively quick and efficient, with the staff managing to keep up with the restaurant's busy atmosphere. - ★★★★☆
Pricing: The major drawback was the cost – at 200 euros for 3 , the meal felt excessively expensive, significantly diminishing the overall value for money. - ★☆☆☆☆
Overall Experience: While the restaurant scores high on location, atmosphere, and service, the steep pricing greatly affects its value proposition, making it a less favorable option for those seeking good value for their money. If you're not wary of the budget, it's a pleasant enough spot for Chinese and Thai cuisine; otherwise, it might be prudent to explore other dining...
Read moreMy recent dining experience at Restaurant DIEP was nothing short of amazing. This Chinese Vietnamese restaurant exceeded my expectations with their phenomenal roasted duck and a delightful variety of Asian dishes, including dim sum and pho.
Let's start with the star of the show - the roasted duck. It was an absolute masterpiece. The skin was perfectly crispy, adding a delightful crunch to each bite, while the meat was succulent and juicy. The flavor was balanced and rich, leaving me craving for more even after finishing every last piece. I would go back to Restaurant DIEP solely for their roasted duck!
Apart from the roasted duck, the restaurant offers a wide selection of dim sum. From the first bite, it was evident that they were prepared with skill and precision. The dumplings were steamed to perfection, with a variety of fillings that delighted my taste buds. Each mouthful was a burst of flavors that left me wanting to try more. The selection and quality of dim sum at Restaurant DIEP are truly exceptional.
Another highlight of my dining experience was the pho. The aromatic broth was packed with flavors that transported me to the streets of Vietnam. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the meat was tender and flavorful. Each bowl of pho at Restaurant DIEP is a comforting and satisfying...
