Magical experience. We attended to a concert of the Paris Chamber (orchestra). The whole experience was like going back in time in another era, when people used to enjoy every ounce of this special moment, in the only hope of listening to music. Music that makes you travel and wonder.
We recommend arriving earlier than what is written on your ticket: 30minutes. You can then enjoy a small drink on the bar’s Theatre. There could be a break if the event is more than an hour. In this way, you can enjoy some savoury or sweet snacks at Level 1 (no credit card accepted by this shop): several ice-creams flavours (pot or sticks), candies, chocolate, chips, etc.
There are some rules you should be aware of: Taking pictures / videos are forbidden You should not clap your hands once they stop their first performance. You only should clap your hands when they finish their second music performance.
Takeaway tips for a better experience: Arrive 30min before the show so you can have a drink at the bar (CC are accepted) Have some cash with you (for shop at level 1) Finally, we hope you have a great cardio...
Read moreWhy would you put blackface into The Nutcracker? Why would you suggest romantic themes between Clara and The Nutcracker? The goose-stepping toy soldiers were only missing a "Heil Hitler" in the country of liberty, equality and fraternity. When I go to the ballet, I expect to see artistic expressions and physical prowess, not to be accosted by the usher for a tip. For artistic expression, we were presented with an incoherent narrative dragged along by the score, which was also liberally reinterpreted to emphasize an excess of solos by the leads. It was clear that the dancers had arduously prepared for the performance, but the choreography focused on the two leads, culminating in a sequence where no less than 20 other members of the troop stood motionless on the stage as a silent background for the two leads, whos' message to all present was a haughty, "We are better than all of you". While the performance was by a visiting troop, it reflects poorly on the theater...
Read moreLast night I traveled back in time watching the most familiar and dear Boston ballet 🩰 💕 at the theatre de champs elysées 😍. Time has passed but Jeffery, lasha and Lia are still on the stage 😁! Jeffery danced in all 3 pieces with such precision and excitement . During the student years, I watched almost the same program of elo, forsythe and Kylian , but this time w a different piece from forsythe 😍. The Bach cello suites is all flying 🪽 above the floor with beautiful drags and rotations as if they are leaves in the wind of fall 🍂! The barre project from forsythe is rhythmic and exciting ! The little movie 🎥 of hands on the curtain is so artistic ! And bella figura again the lusty and provocative dance with big shiny red ♥️ dress 👗. Time has passed but my love for Boston ballet has...
