Romy's Bar Restaurant — Restaurant in Paris

Booked as menu looked good for my son with autism (very specific with meals). Atmosphere friendly and attentive, but not TOO attentive (really good for our neuro-needs). Male server spoke good English and we felt comfortable after trying to speak some bad French with him.

Food then arrived promptly and was delicious. Pesto Pasta and a rump steak with fries. Ordered steak as "medium" and was cooked to PERFECTION. So tasty my son shared meals, which is a rarity!!

Lady server then confused us with very fast French, but our looks must have made her realise we were English speakers, to which she swapped with ease and good humour.

A very enjoyable meal, great staff and atmosphere and would recommend to any visitors to Paris, perhaps those getting off the Eurostar in...

Hmm… let me see. Romy’s bar was a mixed bag. We had the mixed charcuterie and burrata which were both plentiful and tasty, followed by entrees (the risotto was ‘meh’). After drinks and dessert we got the bill and decided to split by family (2ppl vs 5ppl). €180 for three adults and four kids, not bad again. BUT… we decided to split the cost between the two families, one person paying €100, the other expecting to pay the remainder. Looking back at the credit card receipts after walking out we noticed the server felt it was okay to charge €100 twice! While the service was otherwise good, you’re welcome for the presumptuous €20 tip. Total case of ‘Buyer beware’, and can’t blame the server alone, but overcharging/self-tipping €20 is...

This restaurant is amazing! Staff are friendly and the food is incredible. I ordered a medium rare steak and it was that good I didn't even need to chew it, it just melts in your mouth. Staff here listen to you and cater for your every need. Even when you're rubbish at speaking French they help you and make you feel at home. I'll be coming here again and again.

Update We stopped here again for an evening meal and had the homemade burger, yet again they didn't disappoint, a different waiter from the day before and still amazing service and very tasty food. Thank you Romy's you've made our trip to Paris perfect....
