I had the pleasure of dining at Santa Carne, and it was an experience that tantalized my taste buds in ways I never imagined possible. From the moment I stepped through the doors, the ambiance whisked me away into a realm where culinary dreams come true. The star of the show was, without a doubt, the meat. Every cut served was a masterpiece of flavor, a testament to the chef’s dedication to quality and craft. The steak I ordered was cooked to sheer perfection, with a seared, caramelized crust that yielded to the most succulent, tender, and juicily robust beef I have ever had the pleasure of savoring. It was as if every bite whispered tales of the care and passion that went into its preparation. The seasoning was sublime, enhancing the meat’s natural flavors without overpowering them, and each mouthful left me in eager anticipation of the next. The side dishes complemented the main course exquisitely, but it was the meat that truly stole the spotlight – it was the culinary equivalent of a standing ovation. Santa Carne has set a new standard for what I consider exceptional dining. It’s not just a meal; it’s a gastronomic journey that leaves a lasting impression. For fellow meat lovers, consider this a haven where each dish is a celebration of the finest cuts, prepared with the utmost respect for the ingredients. To the chefs of Santa Carne, I extend my heartfelt compliments. You’ve earned a devoted fan, and I can’t wait to return and indulge once more in the delicious artistry that is your cuisine.

Let’s start with the positives, which were commendable—particularly in a city like Paris. A table was available immediately upon arrival, the food presentation was visually impressive, and the sauces were exceptionally flavourful. The atmosphere was vibrant and inviting, and the waitress was very pleasant and fairly responsive when called upon. This leads me to believe my experience may have been an isolated incident—unless local standards are significantly lower than expected. However, the negatives were notable, especially given the strong recommendation I received. Unfortunately, several service and food quality issues detracted from the overall experience: 1. I was left unattended for approximately 10 minutes after being seated and had to request a menu. 2. There was no salt on the table, which also had to be requested. 3. The steak knife provided was blunt and had to be replaced. 4. The steak itself was overly chewy and contained a considerable amount of sinew. 5. The doneness requested was medium rare, but the steak was largely rare to blue. Combined with the sinew, it was very difficult to cut and chew, requiring a fair amount of hacking to manage and resulting in considerable wastage. Given the price point, I expected a higher level of service and food quality. While certain aspects showed promise, the overall experience fell short of expectations.

Meat lover's paradise. Cannot get enough of this place, the quality of food is outstanding. They have a moved since the last time I went and now the place is larger but atmosphere feels nice and cosy. We went as a party of 6 and felt we were on our own. Service is extremely quick and they cooked the meat to perfection (we chose all different types of cuisson). The sauces are so nice we kept asking for refills. I recommend the garlic shrimp and the roasted provolone (maybe to share) and for the meat, the chef's plate will give you 3 different cuts, with a side of salad and either roast potatoes or sweet potatoe mash. Not really fond of the desserts since they are quite rich (dulce de leche and other chocolate - based things) and after the meat you want something lighter and fresh in taste. The wine they recommended was very nice and if you feel like having a cocktail, then their ginger mojitos are very nice!

I never leave reviews of places I've been to, but after being here last night, I just had to say something. It was my girlfriend's birthday yesterday and we both have never eaten such amazing food before. She had the ribeye steak and I had the beef tenderloin, rib eye and striploin dish. I've never seen steak cooked to perfection as I had. I'm not that much of a fan of beef but the tenderloin was so soft and juicy and so were the steaks. All the meat just cut so beautifully and just melted in your mouth. Every bite was fantastic. Not to mention our sides with the meal were roast potatoes and sweet mash potatoes with garlic and I've never eaten better potatoes in my life. Everything complimented each other rather well and every bite was to die for. Starters tasted very nice and the cocktails we had I couldn't make better myself. The overall service was one of the best we have received and I appreciate they accommodated us with us not speaking the greatest of French. Only problem I had was I couldn't tip using a card and I did have any cash on me and I felt bad I couldn't as you so well deserved it. Thank you ever so much for making my girlfriend's birthday dinner such a delight and the highlight of our stay in Paris. 10 out of 5...
