Stumbled across this place after leaving Musée du Louvre. I was craving some authentic Italian pasta and tiramisu. After some investigating, I discovered that this establishment ships ingredients from Italy and specialized in traditional recipes. I was not disappointed. I order the Amatriciana and tiramisu to go as I had managed to be seated and served only before they closed for lunch (closes at 14:30 and usually re-opens by 18:30 for dinner).
The staff were helpful in explaining the dishes and patient with me in regard to my poor attempt at speaking French. Most restaurants/services are, but little phrases/pleasantries such as thank you very much(merci beaucoup) and hello (bonjour), have a good day (bonne journée) go a long way. Plenty of seating and such a relaxing intimate setting for friends/families/significant others to enjoy.

Read moreSUGO offers an authentic experience for those seeking traditional Italian cuisine in a modern environment. Although I was a little worried upon seeing the big neon sign outside (it gave me fast food vibes), I was impressed by the simplistic bistrot style decor inside and above all the concise menu selection. This focused approach often signifies a chef’s expertise and specialization, and chef delivered on this expectation.
The pasta is made in house, cooked to a perfect al dente texture. I opted for the classic cacio e pepe, a dish that is deceptively simple yet notoriously difficult to master. It had a rich, velvety sauce that clung nicely to the pasta, a nice balance of peppery flavors.
Overall, we had an authentic Italian dining experience, not easy to find in Paris with all the tourist traps. It's a must-visit for anyone craving high-quality, simple and well-prepared...
Read moreI’ve been wanting to come to this restaurant for months now and so glad I got to finally! We started with two appetizers - mozzarella and dried tomatoes and polpette. The mozzarelle and dried tomates were great - the tomates had an amazing taste. The polpette was favourite, it was so good. The meatballs were delicious and had so many spices. It might be a bit too peppery for you if you’re sensitive to that. For the dishes we got the Sugo pasta and the cacio e Pepe. I loved the sugo, same amazing tomato paste as the polpette. The cacio e Pepe, we liked less. The Parmesan was over over powering and the sauce was more like a paste.
The pasta are so fresh that they’re very filling, we couldn’t finish because we had the starters but now I wish I could go back and finish the whole plate !
The service was lovely. Definitely try...
