Temple Rock Tavern â Where Music and Pints Collide
Some nights in Paris arenât about sophistication or subtlety; theyâre about letting loose, raising a glass, and enjoying lifeâs raw, unpolished pleasures. Our evening at the Temple Rock Tavern was one of those nights. Tucked into Rue des Lombards, this Irish-inspired pub delivered exactly what it promised: good beer, loud music, and an atmosphere where strangers feel like old friends.
We arrived just as the nightâs band was taking the stageâa local group whose charisma matched their talent. Their energy filled the room, spilling over into the crowd, which seemed more than ready to play along. Itâs worth noting that the success of an evening here relies heavily on the audience, and we were fortunate to share the space with a lively, welcoming group.
The beer selection was impressive, with something for everyone. I would personally recommend the Paix-Dieu, a strong and flavorful choice that fit the vibe of the night perfectly. But hereâs where a note of caution comes in: the prices. Before the band starts, a round for fourâincluding pints and draught beersâmight cost you between âŹ20 and âŹ35. Once the music begins, however, the prices climb sharply to âŹ35ââŹ55. Itâs a significant leap, and one worth planning around.
The service was friendly and efficient, despite the growing crowd. The bar staff handled the surge of orders with skill, and while the atmosphere grew raucous, it never felt chaotic. The wooden interiors, the dim lighting, and the long bar lent the space a timeless quality, making it easy to lose track of the hours as the music and conversation flowed.
Temple Rock Tavern is not about fine dining or hushed conversationâitâs about immersion. The music, the beer, the crowdâitâs all part of a single, unrelenting pulse that defines the place. Whether itâs the playlist, the band, or the people around you, every night here is shaped by the energy of the moment.
Rating: 4/5 A great spot for a fun, lively night out in Paris, the Temple Rock Tavern captures the spirit of an Irish pub with a Parisian twist. While the price hike during live music hours might sting, the overall experience is worth itâespecially if you arrive early, grab a good beer, and let the...
Read moreI used to be a huge fan of Tavern Temple Rock Bar back in 2021. I spent almost every weekend there â the music was great, the drinks were excellent, and it was one of my favorite places during my college years. Sadly, my experience last night changed everything.
After dinner, my girlfriend and I decided to go to Tavern Temple, excited to revisit a place filled with good memories. But when we arrived, the bar was nearly empty and, to our shock, the security guard refused to let us in. As I stood there calmly waiting to talk to him, he let two other people walk right past us and into the bar. Then, without explanation, he looked at us and told us we wouldnât be allowed in â that we should just leave.
It was one of the most frustrating and heartbreaking nights of my life. It was clear that we were being discriminated against for being a lesbian couple. To make matters worse, the guard became physically aggressive â he grabbed me by both arms and forcibly moved me away from the entrance of the bar I once loved.
Shortly afterward, I ran into a friend who confirmed that he too had experienced a similar act of homophobia from the same security guard. He had also been denied entry without reason.
I'm devastated. The place that once felt like home during my college days has become a place of exclusion and discrimination. No one should have to go through what we did.
If you care about equality and respect for all people, especially the LGBTQ+ community, I urge you not to support Tavern Temple Rock Bar. By spending money there, you're enabling a venue that discriminates against people based on who they love. No good music or drinks can make up for the violation of basic...
