This place blew my mind! A beautiful, chilled and friendly atmosphere. The bar tender was most intuitive! We had travelled to Paris to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday, she brought a friend and we let them discover Paris on their own. My husband and I stumbled upon The 46 Bar and headed in for a night cap. The bar had a magical feel to it and we popped in again the following evening. The bar tender remembered us and offered us a cocktail shot as we were leaving. I don't know anything about cocktail shots so asked him to surprise me, the surprise was incredible. Not only was the shot sophisticated and to my exact taste but he then told me it was called a Madeleine, the name of my daughter, the reason we were there!!! (One star) My first drink was a classic drink and was as prior reviews noted— full of ice. My partner however enjoyed his craft cocktail. Given his better luck at choosing drinks, I decided on a signature crafted cocktail as my second drink. Not only were we given the wrong drinks but were also humiliated by the bartender for bringing it up to his attention. If you’re charging 13-15 euros a cocktail and you can’t make the correct drink then you should at the very least treat your patrons with respect. Avoid this place at all costs and go to the Experimental Cocktail Club instead.
