Came to Paris on 15th around the evening, after checking in and a bit of rest, we hit the streets looking for food around 9pm. Was struggling to find any French restaurant at that time. So, we decided to eat here despite average reviews.
The waiter was humble, not very fluent in English and apologised, but we are not very good with French, so we understood the language barrier between us, he still served us with his best efforts. The venue seems understaffed despite having a full house. So understood the stress the guy was enduring.
The soup of the day, tasted very delicious. Salad was exceptional. So, the beginning was great.
It was a busy evening. Eventually was asked to shift from middle table towards the corner after our starters, because a family of 9 came.
But what disappointed us was the main dishes. Nothing to do with the previous incident. Wrote this review with a very honest feedback. Its all about the food. Chicken Supreme w Rice was very dry. Beef Tartare was ok, but sadly not a big fan of it. The fries was overcooked though. Cod fillet with simmered vegetables was bland. We did not finished any of the mains as a result.
Ended the meal with Creme de brulee and it was nice. My partner really looked forward to that. The bill came to €97, which was quite expensive considered its mediocre quality. But the waiter did his best to serve us throughout the evening, whoever cooked the main dishes from the kitchen needed more care with the food, as a chef, its a waste of...

Unfortunately, the house chocolate was the worst cacao drink I’ve ever had. It didn’t taste like chocolate at all, just a lot of milk with half a spoon of Poulain. The bread was okay, the jam wasn’t worth mentioning, but the croissant was surprisingly decent. I also ordered a Café Noisette, which was fine.
The service was attentive, and it wasn’t very busy inside. Overall, it was an alright experience, but not a place I feel the need...
Read moreI really enjoyed Café Petite. Maybe it was because I had been cycling around Paris all afternoon, and by the time I got there it was rather late, and not many places were left open. Still, when I sat down for a croque madame avec frites, and a very nice beer, it was quite a nice place to spend a brief part of an evening. In addition, in something I cannot say for every Parisian café I have been to, the staff were attentive and moved with, if not alacrity, at least moderate speed. If you are over near Place de la...
