According to their website this Saint Ferdinand location is open M-F until 20:30 (included current screenshot). I entered the bakery at exactly 20:09 on 26 April 2023, leaving my day at Disneyland Paris early in order to make it here to take baked goods for an Eiffel Tower picnic during my stay visiting from the States. I was greeted by two ladies who told me "sorry closed." I told them online hours state till 20:30 and they shooed me out by saying "well now it's 20:00" with a tone of dismissiveness instead of honoring their advertised website. I told them I came far (50 minute A train ride) to make it there with plenty of time before close and they both definitely didn't care. They were too concerned with giving what they had to a van of donations over a paying customer who made a significant trek (and left Disneyland Paris early to make it with an extra 20+ minute cushion). You would think they'd feel bad or empathy after my explanation and try to make it right since the website states 20:30 Mon-Fri closing. They said "we don't have anything left" as they continued to grab boxes & boxes for donations to the van, and mind you I could clearly see plenty of pastries behind the counter glass. The way they treated me as a customer I really hope noone has to experience this type of treatment when one travels to another country halfway around the world and make a special journey to purchase within hours of operation according to their website. As soon as they shooed me out , they closed the blinds while they continued to donate unsold baked goods to a van when wanting to purchase from them based off their advertised website! Very very disappointing. I live in the U.S., but next time I'm in Paris I will try another location. Either way, such a disappointment and I do not recommend to fellow American tourists. I recommend another location that will appreciate your business and honor advertised hours, and at least show some level of empathy or a...
Read moreWe visited #TheFrenchBastards in the 17th arrondissement of Paris and what an absolute treat it was! Their baguette sandwiches are nothing short of legendary â the fillings are abundant and the quality is unmatched. The freshness, texture, crunch and fluffiness of their baguettes is a testament to their craftsmanship. đ„âš
Over several visits, we indulged in a variety of pastries, including their heavenly croissants, rich chocolate and pistachio babkas, and delightful galettes. Each bite was a flavour explosion that kept us coming back for more. There's a reason we visited three times in just two weeks! đ
Honestly, their sandwiches were the best we had during our trip, and trust us, we tried a lot of bakeries! Yet, we found ourselves returning to The French Bastards as our go-to spot. We miss this place! â€ïž

The French Bastards totally lives up to the hype â edgy name, but their baking is seriously top-tier. I stopped in for a quick bite and ended up staying way longer just to try more things. The viennoiseries are next level: their croissant is flaky, buttery perfection, and the pain au chocolat is rich without being too sweet.
Theyâve got a modern, urban vibe with a touch of punk attitude, but the quality of their traditional French baking is absolutely legit. The staff were cool and welcoming, and the place has a great energy â both locals and tourists lining up, which is always a good sign.
A little pricier than your average boulangerie, but youâre paying for serious craftsmanship. If youâre in Paris and love pastries with personality, this...
