My husband and I found this place tucked into a corner of a roundabout. We had just arrived into town and were hungry during the hours that many restaurants are closed. We actually came to the roundabout in search of a different restaurant we found online, but after checking out the restaurants in the circle, my husband wanted to try the menu here instead. I asked for a recommendation and the quenelle is what the gentleman suggested. My husband ordered the cod plate. The cod was cooked to perfection, moist fish with a crispy skin and a side of sauteed vegetables with a light and flavorful broth. We didn't know what a quenelle was, being new to French cuisine, but it's a type of casserole style dumpling bake, this one with a fish base (Pike) but does not taste fishy. It actually reminded us of cornbread and had a deliciously creamy sauce that it's cooked in and it came out piping hot! If you want a lighter fare, order the cod. If you're in the mood for a hearty comfort food, go with the quenelle. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate mousse, which was rich, velvety and decadent. Not too sweet.

We enjoyed eating there, during the quiet hour, sitting out on the patio while watching the people passing by and especially the dog walkers. However, I believe they were advertising that they have live music during certain evening hours, from what I could tell with my limited recognition of the written French language. So if live music appeals to you, check it out! We were pleased with the food, the service and the atmosphere. A lovely place to enjoy a meal.

Edit: We went back the next night as well because I was craving the fish and vegetables. This time my husband ordered the rib steak. I remembered to take pictures of both of those and the chive dip they brought us as a...

I've been at La Cuisiniere Lyonnaise the first time I came back to Paris after many years, since I was thinking now about that place, here my review: I had an excellent experience, I enjoyed so much the place, the kindness of the owner and the readiness of the service. I'll go again there the next time I'll be in Paris.

Set lunch value sadly wasnt the best for the price. The beef was rather tough, bacon salad was okay, tarte tatin was good but didnt need the caramel sauce. On hindsight I wish I had ordered ala carte as those who did had a better experience.
