We came in before they opened since other reviews mentioned that it was a first come, first served situation, and it was a very good idea. After 5 minutes of being there, a line started to form behind us before they opened.
The service, although slow, was very good and they were very accommodating to everything we asked for. I did notice that the table next to us waited a long time for 2 glasses of champagne.
Snacks that we got were quite good, maybe not a hit for everyone, but I did enjoy the mezze platter! They bring out complimentary olives and nuts with drinks. The espresso martini definitely wasn't as good as some other ones I've tried. It tasted much stronger than usual, so I had to sit on the one drink despite wanting to try others.
The atmosphere of the actual bar is nice, but the lighting is way too bright in there. As soon as the sun sets, you start to see your own reflections more than the actual view. They did eventually dim down the lights a little, but it still didn't fix the problem. The lady next to us who was wearing a white top completely blocked the view of the Eiffel Tower for us, and it wasn't her fault! I've attached some of the photos to show – and no, having your phone against the glass doesn't help since it's double-glazed. Bring some good company since you'll eventually stop seeing the vue as good and just be staring at your own...
Read moreWe were in Paris two weeks ago for our honeymoon which we kicked off with Fete Nationale (Bastille Day). I reached out to Windo Sky Bar, about 1 month prior, to make reservations for the “Sparkling Night with a View” event being held the night of July 14th. I exchanged half a dozen emails with Ms. Eva Merian who stated that we could not make a reservation but the space would be open on a first come first served basis. We adjusted our plans accordingly and shortly after arriving in Paris, we made our way to Windo Sky Bar to prepare for the evening. We arrived around 7PM to a completely empty space and were greeted by a manager who told us that we could not be seated for the night. I explained the numerous emails with his staff in which he stated that he made a “last minute change”.
A note to management. DO NOT offer the option of “first come first served” if it is not truly available. I would’ve preferred if someone said that the space was reservation only so I could continue to look for options that would be better suited for myself and my husband. And at the very least, they could have allowed us to enjoy the space for a short time before releasing our table to those with reservations. No accommodations were made.
To say we were disappointed is an...
Read more11:50am we lined up at Hyatt Windoskybar for Easter Sunday Brunch without reservations! Luckily we got the last table non-window seat. Small buffet line but presented nicely with loaded oysters, crab craws, prawns, roasted leg of lamb, pan fried fish fillets, and more French delicacies. At the end room, there was a large selection of desserts and Easter 🐣 chocolate. Oysters were too skinny without taste, perhaps not in season 🙄 Crab and prawns were fresh and sweet 👍 Lamb was really tender and tasty. Scalloped potatoes were buttery and smooth. Even the vegetables were cooked to perfection. Fresh orange juice and premium coffee along with the delicious desserts were not to miss. Services were excellent that kept up to Hyatt standards! Most impressive was definitely the view of Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe and the beautiful Paris city! Cost is €69 per person, super great value! You can add champagne 🥂 for additional cost. Very enjoyable Easter Sunday Brunch at Hyatt...
