We were here for 9 nights at the end of May, beginning of June. We stayed in the Family Suite. It was very large for our family of four, with 2 teenagers. The first floor has the main room and bathroom with shower. The second floor has a sofa bed and bathroom with shower and then down a hall, another little twin bed under a slanted roof with skylight. It felt like a way cuter Harry Potter cupboard under the stairs. My son loved it. Then there’s another bathroom with just toilet and sink. The mini fridge is on the second level. We couldn’t believe the room we had. It was easy to stow our 4 large suitcases in the room. There was good storage for everything we had. The view was limited, but charming. The beautiful rooftops of the 1st arrondisement. The air conditioning worked. The hairdryer was good. Housekeeping did a wonderful job of cleaning our room each day. The room is decorated tastefully and was very cute. The elevator is quite small but worked the whole time we were there. The lobby is quaint and the people who work there are professional and friendly. Jerome was our particular favorite. We never had breakfast there, so cannot speak to that. The neighborhood is very safe and convenient. Easy to get to all the things. The grocery shop across the street was very convenient for snacks and drinks. I fear we are ruined for any other room after staying in this one. It was so nice, we are now spoiled. We would absolutely...
Read moreMy wife and I visited Paris on the way back from a Danube River cruise. We had stayed at Prague and Budapest in very opulent hotels but this was a totally different experience. Boutique, small super friendly staff, willing to help with restaurant recommendations, airport transportation, printing maps.||A buffet breakfast is served in the well decorated wine cave on the underground floor.||Very walk friendly to absolutely amazing restaurants, cafes, coffee bars as well as to the Louvre (7 min) & Eiffel Tower (35 min) and either 2 hour lunch or dinner, 4 course gourmet, glass-viewing excursion boats on the Seine, just before the Eiffel Tower! ||Notre Dame Cathedral (still under renovation from 2019 fire) is about a 20-25 min walk as well in a Easterly wall, with Louvre in NE and Eiffel Tower and cruise in slight SW path along very nice river walk.||Did I mention all the various cafes, wine bars, restaurants, and coffee shops literally stacked one on top of each other?||Private cab from hotel to CDG airport will run you 70 euros. We took Uber from CDG and it was 50 euros.||If you are looking for a big box hotel, this is not it. If you are looking for friendly, helpful staff, as well as a romantic, safe, and quant Paris hotel experience, highly...
Read moreThis is one of the most disappointing hotels we have had the displeasure of staying at. First, our paperwork, the internet, and the sign on the hotel's window say check-in is at 2 pm. We arrived at 1 pm knowing that it was possible that the room wasn't going to be ready. So the staff offered to hold our luggage while we went to find something to eat. When we returned at 2:15 pm, the gentleman at the desk said the room wasn't ready and then argued that check-in was at 3 pm after the manager had told us it was 2 pm. When we finally received our room and went up to our room we noticed the room was very old and rundown looking, the walls were an ugly green colour, and the bedspread was torn. The final straw was that there was no air conditioning in the room. We specifically chose this hotel because they advertised that they have air conditioning. When we notified the front desk we were told that this was June in Paris and it was warm so the room would be warm. The manager offered to bring us fans to the room. This was unacceptable. We eventually had to decide to leave the hotel as the room was too uncomfortable. The manager and the staff are extremely rude and not...
