We had breakfast, and the food was great, but one person found the tomato omelet a bit too sweet. We ordered an iced matcha that was overly sweet, and the language barrier due to our limited French made communication challenging. When we asked the waitress about the sweetness, she didn't seem to pay much attention and brought extra milk without addressing our question. Another waitress heard us but turned away without acknowledgment, which felt rude.
Despite this, we asked for the matcha to be taken back because we couldn't drink it. At the time of payment, they initially tried to charge us for the returned drink and attempted to explain matcha, as if we didn't know what it was, even though we've been drinking it daily at home for six years. We found this impolite and expressed our dissatisfaction. We were bothered by their attitude. As a business owner myself, I understand the importance of valuing customers. On a positive note, the first waitress was kind and helpful with the food. My toast tartare was...
Read moreAvoid at all cost! The rudest staff ever! I walked to the place at 8.50, 10 minutes before the opening time as it was pouring rain outside and I was completely drenched. The door was open and the sign on the door read open too. That is why I came in, otherwise of course I would not come in before the opening time. I asked the server if I could please sit inside and wait the ten minutes before they started the service. I clearly told him I came for breakfast and pleaded with to let me stay inside for the 10 minutes as it was full storm outside. He said no madam, you must come wait outside and come back in 10 minutes if you want to have breakfast. I asked if he wants me to stand in the rain and he said yes, rules are rules. Zero compassion. That’s why I would avoid this place! I have never met anyone in Strasburg with such an attitude! The French are always smiling and super kind. Thank goodness just 2 minutes away I found a perfect cafe “Oh my goodness” with the sweetest staff and...
Read moretl;dr: healthy, abundant breakfast/brunch with many choices
Came here recommended by a waiter at the restaurant in which we had lunch the day prior (1741). Thanks for that tip, my man. It was better than expected.

Not the most flavorful, but it’s sort of expected given what I ordered. The creamy sweet potato was quite good.
On the coffee department, they let you choose between 80 and 100% arabica grains, which is the first I’ve seen of that (outside of specialty coffee shops). Very nice touch, and the coffee was great.
All in all we ended up paying slightly over 50 euros for two, with two beverages each and one dessert item (cookie, also good). I think it’s a good deal, and we were...
