Hotel and staff were fantastic. Very conveniently located just a block or so from the all of the action of the city center, also known as historic district of La Petite France in Strasbourg. They are undergoing a name change and was surprised I couldn't easily find it on Trip Advisor because it's called Hotel de Tonneliers but it's listed under another French name. ||||Quite contrary to the reports, it was an amazingly quiet place. I had the best night's sleep in a very comfortable bed and a nice, hot shower in the morning with the lovely soaps and shampoo they left in my private bathroom. The breakfast was a great bargain at only $8 Euro's - considering I paid $5 Euros for a mere cup of coffee and croissant offsite. The breakfast had some fresh fruit, croissants, and some really nice Brie cheese and other cold cuts. I wish I had eaten at this quiant little nook instead.||||Young couple are the new owners and they were wonderful. Marco let me use his Uber account to get to the airport and I paid for it via credit card on my hotel bill. This is THE best bargain for a clean, safe, quiet hotel just steps away from the Cathedral and all of the outdoor cafes and city center in La Petite France in Strasbourg. I would not stay...
Read moreStayed here for 2 nights in July.||Hotel is conveniently located in the city centre, 5 mins walking to the Notre Dame of Strasbourg, and about 10 minutes to Petit France.|The street, with the same name as the hotel, is full with restaurants and terraces. Very nice ambiance in the evening. |They provide underground parking close by for €18 per night, reserve in advance!||The room itself was very outdated, small bed, only 1 plug to charge, the tap was too small for the sink we could barely wash our hands, showerhead cannot stay in place, and you still see the holes where the previous shower cabin was fixed on the wall.||Most terrible was the noise, we slept on the 1st floor, with the sunny weather the terrace of the restaurant below was full both nights, with the stone hallway this was echoed throughout the building. Secondly there was a buzzing noise every 5 minutes that we couldn’t place.||Staff was very friendly and helpful, we hope they renovate...
Read moreLovely family-owned hotel in the centre of town, very conveniently located (20 min to train station, 10 min to bus station and with a convenient tram stop 7 or 8 min nearby). The cathedral is 5 min away, and there are lots of restaurants in the neighbourhood (including at the ground floor of the hotel). ||The hotel itself has no reception, so keep an eye for instructions re arrival and the pin to gain access. You can leave luggage and go out. ||My triple room had a bath, which was very nice, and the radiator and hot water worked well. All very comfortable. Complimentary toiletries were a nice touch. My dad’s single room was great too. The walls are a bit thin so neighbours watching tv were a bit annoying, but that’s life. ||Overall, a very nice stay, and I would certainly consider coming back. Strasbourg is an expensive city where hotels are concerned, and this was...
