Crêperie du Marché — Restaurant in Versailles

Located in a very vibrant area of Versailles, La Crêperie du Marché is my go-to place when I am craving a nice galette + crêpe menu. This time I ordered the galette Campagnarde which went well with a nice glass of sweet cider (Bolée de cidre doux). For dessert, I had the classic crêpe Tatin. Although I was expecting separate slices of apple, I was not disappointed with the warm apple compote they added instead. The waiter was kind and even made jokes with some of my friends. The place is often full, so you may want to book in advance....

Was recommended this creperie by a mutual friend and it was my first time visiting any sort of creperie in France, so my expectations were quite high.

I hadn't eaten since the morning and we sat down at about 3 PM or so. I ordered cider and a Norwegian crepe, which had smoked salmon, an egg, as well as some veggies inside. I was very hungry, so I was thankful that the crepe came pretty quickly. It was also very tasty. Honestly, the crepes in the US aren't too different than these ones, but I think that may just be that I had good...

This is the only open restaurant in the area. The other ones close their doors after lunch time. We tried 5 different crepes here, combination of sweet and savoury. They are all super good. The guy who served us was very efficient. I think he is the owner. There were about 6 other tables that he was serving and he was very efficient. He works all by himself. He greets customers, finds a table for them, take their orders, cook crepes, clean up, everything!...
