Doshi Doshi was a nice surprise during our stay in Kutaisi. We wanted to take a break from Georgian food and try something different, so we went for sushi. We ordered a plate of five special inside-out rolls and two salmon maki rolls to share.

The presentation was clean and appetizing, and the kids especially enjoyed the rolls, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The flavors were good and the fish tasted fresh enough, with a nice balance of textures. For this region, the quality is definitely impressive, and it’s a solid option if you’re craving sushi while traveling through Georgia.

That said, I wouldn’t say it’s the best sushi I’ve ever had, compared to big city standards, it’s a bit more simple. Still, the rolls were tasty, the atmosphere casual and friendly, and the service attentive.

Overall, Doshi Doshi is a good place to diversify your meals in Kutaisi. If you want to try something different from Georgian cuisine, it’s a spot worth...

We had a dinner at this place. I took a russian menu and the cashier girl gave me menu on English and I said to her that I understand russian and it’s easier if I read the russian one. Somehow she didn’t want to understand me or so. I heard the staff speaking russian with each other so I made an order in russian. The girl refused to speak russian and started taking order in english. Alright, no problem, I spoke english with her. I ordered Udon noodles with vegetables in sweet-spicy sauce. What I got definitely weren't udon noodles, basic noodles and the sauce tasted like ketchup. The portion was really funny - around 5 bites. Maybe they know how to do perfect sushi, but I do not recommend getting noodles.

Also ordered a few pieces of sushi to take away - three new customers were served before me while waiting for these 6 pieces. At the end it took one hour and if I would not ask about them, I'll be still waiting now. And no info about ordering at the bar came as well, so a weird waiting...
