Monsieur Daniel — Restaurant in Aachen

We have visited this place twice upon our short visit to Aachen. This place has an excuisite food, excellent service and a cozy terrase a little bit outside the busy dome square. First time we found a shelter there in the afternoon during a heavy rain. We had hot beverages and some delicious French pastries. The pastries were top notch and they took me back to France. A day later we came back there for lunch, as we noticed they had a very good lunch menu. We had gazpacho, flammeküche, a slice of quiche and a pastry. Everything was delicious. They also vary their menu, everything is always fresh. On top of that, the team was very kind, friendly and attentive. Actually, they also sell food to cook at home. We bought a jar of bolognese from then which tasted like a real home made one. I know that when I am back in Aachen again, this place will be om my list of places to go to. The place is well designed and the owner is friendly and polite. The coffee and food are good, the butter croissant is delicious. The pain au Chocolat is my least favorite. Prices are on the expensive side. Many waiters, but most of them seem frustrated and indifferent. They may crack a fake smile when you pay. All in all, a visit is worth it if you are around for a quick snack (coffee and a croissant will get you around 6€), otherwise I would recommend to pick a croissant to-go and enjoy it on your...

Ein Stück Frankreich mitten in Aachen! Schon beim Betreten des Feinkoststores von Monsieur Daniel spürt man die warme, herzliche Atmosphäre und die Liebe zum Detail. Der Service ist ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen.

Die Auswahl an französischen Spezialitäten ist einfach phantastisch: von feinen Käsen über erlesene Weine bis hin zu süßen Versuchungen, die jedes Genießerherz höher schlagen lassen. Besonders das frisch belegte Baguette mit Camembert und das zarte Mandel-Croissant sind ein echter Genuss und bringen das französische Lebensgefühl direkt nach Aachen. Der Champagner, den ich probiert haben, war das i-Tüpfelchen – prickelnd, elegant und perfekt gekühlt.

Auch das Ambiente verdient ein großes Lob: Der Store ist mit Stil, Eleganz und viel Liebe eingerichtet – ein Ort, an dem man gerne verweilt und die Seele ein bisschen nach Paris reisen lässt.
