Hanswurst - Das Wurstrestaurant — Restaurant in Aachen

I had been told a few times that I need to stop by here and have a Wurst and beer. So happy I did. Myself and my girl got the sampler for two plate with extra sauerkraut. And ordered a large dark beer for me and a whit for her. While waiting for our order we immediately noticed the excellent music they were playing. From Mississippi blues to Dean Martin’s Volare with vocal back up from the kitchen staff. I had the best feeling thinking that the guy singing along with Dean is making our food. Great vibe. Food was fantastic, as was the beer.

I am absolutely in shock! I left a bad and honest review on this place about 2 years ago because I got very sick from food that Hans Wurst served me. I asked for specific dishes without my allergens, very precisely, asked multiple times if they were 100% sure, and they still gave me a dish that had those allergens. I got very sick after eating the dish, and stayed sick for 2 days. Today, Hans Wurst has filed my review as 'defamation' and removed it. Do not go to this restaurant, the owner clearly does not care about this...

We enjoyed the food and appreciate the allergen list and accommodations for gluten-free diners like me.

The cashier/order-taker seemed new and my order came out with the crunch onions that are not gf, but when we brought it to the counter, they were apologetic and re-made the food for me and it tasted great and was safe.

I had the Red sausage with purple cabbage and mash without the gravy or crunchy onions topping.

The fries here are not gf.
