Smashup! am Dom — Restaurant in Aachen

I'm usually wary of burgers in Germany. Most burger places here either want to do too much, like put unnecessary spices into the meat, or their patties are dense and taste like gummy (looking at you, Hans im Glück and Peter Pane) or a combination of both.

I ordered from this place on Uber eats and was blown away. The burger was phenomenal, with a perfect smashed patty, delicious brioche buns and excellent toppings (I had the "Winter Wonderland")! Not only that though, but the Mac and Cheese were also the best I've had in Germany. Just perfect! The Cole slaw was good, though it could have used a little more salt for my taste, but that's just me.

Overall I can't wait to try the restaurant in person one of these days. Makes me glad I've moved to Aachen!

I had an amazing experience at Smashup in Aachen! The atmosphere was vibrant and fun with a stylish pink theme that made it feel unique and inviting. I ordered the Beast Burger, Signature Burger, and the Crispy Chicken Burger, and each one was absolutely delicious. The chicken and hamburger were cooked perfectly, with great flavors that really stood out. The pulled pork was a bit too sweet for my taste, but that’s just personal preference.

One interesting point: they only accept card payments, which was a relief! In Aachen, many places only accept cash, so it was nice not to worry about that.

Overall, it was an outstanding meal, and I highly recommend Smashup for anyone looking for great burgers and a fun...

To start off, this place looks great. Even the toilets had cute details. It's fun to be able to look around while eating.

Service is 10/10. If I could give more stars I would. The waiter was very patient (our German was a bit confusing at times) and he even helped us with finding a store we where looking for. Very kind man.

The burgers where great. The outside of the burger itself was crispy, yet the burger was still juicy. Their homemade sauce worked well with the sourness of the pickle. Perfect to break down the greasiness of the burger (which wasn't too greasy overall).

The fries where alright, a tiny bit too crispy for my liking, but still nice.
