Great place for coffee ☕️ and a sweet pastry. Yes they have decaf 🤩. Lunch however might be better elsewhere. They have few lunch options and my chicken sandwich was dry and certainly not Chic-filet. The staff is busy and some obviously shy away from English speakers. Just get in line and take a picture of what you want. Then show it when you finally get someone’s attention so they can grab it for you when you reach the register. Save your receipt if you plan to take a tour of the Dom and you might get a free cookie with your tour ticket either the receipt of over 10 Euros. We came here twice in one day. First for lunch then for coffee and dessert. Here is what we learned. Find the English speaking staff. Return your bottles to the register for the deposit. Since they don’t offer free toilets you can your that towards the .50 cost of going to the toilet🚽🧻. We selected something that looked like Black Forest Cake, but after eating we decided it was something else. Anyway, it had cherries and while it was good and had some alcohol, it also contained a cherry pit 🍒. Yikes, the last thing I need on a foreign vacation is dental work. Just beware. One last thing. This place obviously is where the locals come for bread. We saw many come in just to walk off with large bags of bread 🥖. Again, great...
Read more⭐ Review of Nobis Printen 📍 Aachen, Germany ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5)
Nobis Printen is a well-known name in Aachen, especially for those looking to try traditional Printen or grab a quick bakery bite. The setup is straightforward: self-service style, where you order at the counter and bring your items to your table—efficient but not exactly cozy.
The coffee here is functional rather than flavorful—don’t expect anything artisanal. It’ll get the job done, but it won’t win over any specialty coffee lovers.
That said, the bakery items shine more. I really enjoyed the cheese bun with egg mayo—fresh, satisfying, and a solid savory pick. However, the sweet treats were a mixed bag for me. The chocolate éclair had a cream filling that didn’t hit the mark, and the hazelnut tart was a bit too dense and sweet for my taste.
You have to pay €0.50 to use the toilet even though you are eating there.
📝 Verdict: A decent stop if you’re nearby and craving a quick bite, especially on the savory side. But if you’re coming in for coffee and dessert, manage...
Read moreWe had a cup of coffee and hot chocolate with some breads. It tasted good - also we bought Printen as gift for our family.
I saw many flies in the breads section. Coffee was ok-ok, not super tasty.
We took many breads, worth 20+ Euro asked for the best bread recommendation. They suggested Butter "Poschweck". As we don't eat eggs, so asked for allergies if it contains eggs. They checked and said no - it's without eggs. We tasted it, also took it to our home.
Later, we see that full egg is in ingredient list. I am super...
