Hotel Graupner — Restaurant in Bamberg

We stayed at the hotel over the Easter Weekend. The hotel is very well located. I loved the decor in the hallways and rooms, it was very authentic. We stayed in the junior suite, it was not as big as I expected but big enough. The bathroom had a shower, basin and toilet. There was a closet to hang clothes but no safe, although there were printed instructions on how to use the safe. The heating was not on and it was cold inside the room. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was served every morning and was adequate, but nothing special. Tip -- Breakfast is served later on public holidays. We wanted to leave early on Easter Monday and they were still preparing breakfast. The lady was very helpful and told us we can sit down so long and help ourselves. We could only check out at 08:00. The bakery is oh so good! The wi-fi signal in the room was not very strong. The location is walking distance to the Altstadt, and there are many restaurants to choose from. The only other issue we had was the water pump that made a noise whenever the toilet or shower was used. There are no onsite parking, we had to park inside a Parkade but it was close enough and cheap enough. We paid...

We booked a apartment with two bedrooms one ensuite and an additional toilet and a kitchenette. The advert also stated mini bar kettle fridge etc and a balcony with landmark view||What we got was an apartment with two adjoining bedrooms with one ensuite which means the other couple have to come into our bedroom to use the toilet!!!||The kitchenette does not exist nor does the mini bar or kettle. The fridge is in a wardrobe and looks like it was used to store dead animals.||The balcony does not exist and the landmark view is of some plastic corrugated roofing and a fire ladder!!||Parking was also advertised but it fails to mention it is public parking away from the hotel.||Our keys were left in an envelope on what we believe was a reception desk but with no staff in sight.||The icing on the cake was finding the smoke alarm for the apartment in pieces on top of the wardrobe.||Would not recommend this place to...
