Very Disappointed – A Horrible Experience That Ruined My Day

Visited the Lindt outlet in Berlin on the morning of May 30th. I usually love Lindt products, but this experience was unacceptable.

We ordered two hot chocolates – one of them was white hot chocolate, which I had. From the very first sip, I noticed something was off with the milk – it tasted strange and felt like it had already gone bad. I usually have a strong stomach and can tolerate minor issues, but this was beyond that.

Within a short time, I began to feel very unwell. What was supposed to be a relaxing start to the day turned into a completely ruined experience. I had to cancel plans and spend the rest of the day dealing with the aftermath of what was clearly a case of bad milk or unhygienic preparation.

It’s extremely disappointing that a brand like Lindt would let such a thing happen. I sincerely hope this was a one-time issue, but it should never happen in the first place – especially when you’re serving food and drinks to the public.

Lindt needs to seriously look into their hygiene and quality control at this location. No one else should have to go...

Unfortunately, the recent experiences have been quite different. The service now (mostly by male staff) often feels rushed and impersonal. On more than one occasion, I’ve had my bag taken from my hand and placed on the scale in a way that felt abrupt, even careless. It’s a small gesture, but it creates a stark contrast with the premium image of the brand.
